The Hamtramck registry has a nice section with data books. That will tell you a lot about your car:

Maybe others can help with the vibration question

definitelly a Hardtop ( WH23 )... original 440 ( U code ) mostly probably a Rallye. Try to find A57 code on fender tag. If not, then rallye equipment is:
-rear and front sway bar
-Power brakes
-11" rear brake drums
-Rallye cluster
-Bulged hood.
-Hood pins
-rallye mid body sides stripes ( if never painted )

It's a LR car so A57 won't be coded.

If it is an original 440, it has to be a rallye.  In 1973 the 440 was only available with the SE and Rallye. and that is not an SE, so he ahs a U code 73 rallye.  Nice find!

The data book shows the 440 was an option for the Rallye package 318. It also shows the Rally package was required for the 340 but it does not say the Rallye package was required for the 440. Does anyone have sales literature or '73 order sheets showing the Rallye package was required in order to get the 440 in the Coupe? Thanks in advance....

No. I'm just curious if there is any factory document stating you have to have the Rallye package with the 440 like you did the 340.

It makes sense to me that if you ordered the 440 you would also order the Rallye package so I presume mosts of the WH 440 cars have the Rallye Package. I just want to know if there is anything out there that says you HAD to have the Rallye Package in order to get the 440.

Hello again
thank`s for all the answers. i tried to  write in the vin .nr. at  Hamtrack -Historical, but no match.
Are there other places i can search?
the car have also, as some of you come up with:power bulge hood-Hood pins
But i got to look in the translation manual for finding out what Rallye cluster and Sway bars means
The car`s been painted ,so no stripes!
Thanks again. :icon_smile_cool: i aint got no pic`s of the car yet,but here is one from a harley meet.

Congrats on the find, I have no dealer info but I have two reputable publications that state in 1973 440 ony available in Rallye and SE,  The Rallye package could have other drive trains but if it was not a rallye or SE you could not order a 440.  If I have learned anything in this hobby, it's never say never!  There may be a non Rallye or SE car that was ordered and came with a 440, but I have not seen it or documentation.

Rallye cluster: Round Gauges

Standart cluster: longitudinal gauges.

Sway bar: Bar that cross the car from side to side to save from "sway" when you are turning the car. This specifically is 71/72 kind, rear one:

does anybody make sway bars for a 1974 dodge charger??  is it just bolted in??  or do i have to drill some new holes??  thanks

Nacho-RT74

with complete and right parts, is just bolt in... holes on frame rails to brackets are already there.
