       can i still get different size jets for the carter avs   thats on our 440 ?       69 charger  rt  number matching car

The original AVS uses a three step rod though, so if you make changes, you will be limited to jets.  If you want to change rods, you'll need to find an old AVS strip kit or convert to the two step style and covers.
