Black and Blown

Tonight I turned on my headlights, and a buzzer sounded.  It sounded like the buzzer that normally would go off if you left your headlights on, switched your car off and opened the door.  I also noticed my amp meter jumping around like my voltage regulator was having problems.  The buzzing stopped when I switched my headlamps off (and kept the parking lights on).  I drove home listening to the pathetic buzzing sound and watching the amp meter jump around a bit.

How's that for a dandy..?

I recently had my guages redone by Auto Instruments, and everything was working nicely these last 200 miles.  Never before had that buzzer sounded.

lights on buzzer start to buzz with parking lamps, and keeps buzzing with headlights since parking lamps are still ON, but that does happen JUST WHEN open doors.

what else buzzers do you have equipped on car ? key in ? dunno if seatbelt buzzer was part of equipment on 70s

Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

I don't know what buzzers are still on the car.  I don't even know (for sure) if it's the "lights on" buzzer, but that's what it sounds like.

All buzzers sound aproximatelly the same. Try to locate where is the buzzer buzzing underdash and what's the color of wires arriving to. Or also what kind of plug it is.

I think 70s didn't came with seatbelts buzzer.anyway, normally seatbelts buzzer is feeded by Blue wires. one of them traced white as far I recall right now.

Key in buzzer is feeded by black wires.

Lights on buzzer use black and black traced yellow wires. Black traced yellow is the parking light line, for a while black wire is door ground.

These color codes are for 3rd gens, but don't think earliers are different. Color codes are all the same to all Mopars no matter the year.

will do.  It's raining today, so at least I don't have to grumble about not being able to drive my car.   ;D
