Hi guys,

I'm looking for a color that would be good for a 3rd Gen SE Charger that has a eye catching color.  Like Plum Crazy or Sublime (and that green that is a little darker than sublime).  I cannot seem to find any other colors besides dark green and black.  If you have any various colors for a 73/74 SE Charger, could you please post the pics here or direct me to the photo?  Thanks!

Earth. Even the word sounded strange to me now... unfamiliar. How long had I been gone? How long had I been back? Did it matter? I tried to find the rhythm of the world where I used to live. I followed the current. I was silent, attentive, I made a conscious effort to smile, nod, stand, and perform the millions of gestures that constitute life on earth. I studied these gestures until they became reflexes again. But I was haunted by the idea that I remembered her wrong -Solaris

black is good, well you can find a pic of my car to see how i feel about black....haha the problem is that its a complete pain in the rear to keep clean. and its overdone. but I like it because I actually don't draw much attention to it while driving really. now if i had it some bright color everybody and their neighbor will know your coming down the road.

I know it's strange coming from a guy, but this isn't that bad:

My mom really likes it and says she wants the car now.

I'm interested in seeing a plum crazy with black.

I love Panther Pink but it has to be on the right car.  It looks hideous on that SE.  Yours might be different because you dont have the vinyl top.  I would pull the bumpers in close and lose the filler if you go for Pink, it really makes it look like a whole new car.   Its amazing what the little things can do.  I like triple white on the 73/74 SEs.  Triple black is good too.  Yellow looks terrible on them (but it looks great on a hardtop  :D)   :scratchchin:   Dont remember seeing a Plum/Black SE, but somewhere I have seen one with a white top and it looked good.

The body lines on the 2nd and 3rd gen Chargers easily lend themsleves to nearly any color in my opinion but it sometimes seems to me like the high impact colors have been done so much they are starting to lose their "impact".  Maybe one of the suggestions less seen on a 3rd gen like B7 or burnt orange?

Oh, I'm not repainting the General.  I picked up another 73 Charger SE for 500 yesterday and plan to work on that :)

I agree with Ghoste on this one. High Impacts are done to death. And the worst color on a 73-74 is Plum Crazy.

Know what?  If I had a 72 to 74, I'd seriously consider doing it exactly like your car.  There are enough differences to set it apart and none that are distasteful.  I know there'd be a few purists getting on me about the RT part, but it would be an opportunity to explain about the Venezuelan cars and where I got the inspiration.
Why I wouldn't do it to a 71, I can't say for sure, just my own strange idea?

Nacho-RT74

LOL... ok My car is actually an USA RALLYE CLONE with just R/T badges. If you remove the R/T badges from my car then you'll get a Rallye.

Of course is a Rallye now just because I wanted to make it on that way. As I have explained Venezuelan 73/74 Chargers are/were ALLMOST plain janes with some Rallye touch ups and those R/T emblems on fender and dash insert.

My car were allmost a plain jane Charger because no rear sway bar, no hood pins and standart cluster, far away that the Rallye means, with those. From real Rallies just had the 400Magnum, stripes and the bulge hood ONLY ON 74 since 73 was plain hood. Of course the tuff wheel is a nice add that all Venezuelan Chargers had but is not part of rallye package.

If you think that is nice, then Go ahead and clone a Venezuelan R/T hehehe. If you want some documentation I'll send for sure.

72s Venezuelan wasn't EVEN CLOSE to a Rallye. they were complete plain janes. Just nice stuff is the 318 was 4bbls and tuff wheel with center console.

71s are R/Ts like 73/74 R/Ts ( rallies ) just on looks, but partially, since were delete stripes, but they had bulged hood with louvers insert, R/T tai lights, rimblow wheel, center console and first half with highback buckets. Still not even with Rallye cluster... and 318s with 4bbls.

All the nice stuff on My car has been added:
highback buckets ( where shortbacks )
Rallye cluster.
Rear Sway Bar.
rear deffog
rear speaker with fader.
electrick trunk latch
Brougham panels ( extremelly rare to hardtops anywhere )
Map light
74 wiring and seatbelts like USA cars ( still rest install the rear bench belts )

I got an AM/FM radio with pigtail... but does look unreparaible locally :(

only stuff I like is no one Venezuelan car has those smogger controls :D

So being me a "purist"... I have right now a car that is not a USA car and not even a Venezuelan car LOL

Anyway Thanks for your words thought :)

Natcho, however small the differences may be, there is something that seems to set your car apart.
