I finally got the car back today.  It is W1 white and will have a black vinyl top and black stripe.  The color turned out good but a little on the yellow side.  What do you think?  First pic is it leaving for paint and the other two are of it returning.

TUFCAT

I think its beautiful  ;) Don't forget to black around the the rad core support and h/l buckets.

Nice looking car, now go put it together. White is a bitch sometimes. it can be more yellow than you want if you use the wrong clear coat i found.

Earth. Even the word sounded strange to me now... unfamiliar. How long had I been gone? How long had I been back? Did it matter? I tried to find the rhythm of the world where I used to live. I followed the current. I was silent, attentive, I made a conscious effort to smile, nod, stand, and perform the millions of gestures that constitute life on earth. I studied these gestures until they became reflexes again. But I was haunted by the idea that I remembered her wrong -Solaris

The thought of blacking out that rad support makes me sick, (frsh new white paint) but at the same time, u can really see it through the grill.

You can still do it tactfully and the result will be great, especially when you look at the front of the car.......

That is truly a beautiful car. With the hood off it kind of looks like one of those "Hotwheels" cars from the 60's!

wow!  Beautiful car!  I love the white and black

One of the first things I look for is the blacked out core support when I see a restored car among other things that should be black & are not. I'm funny that way I guess. 10 years ago probably 9 out of 10 did not have the radiator support blacked out. Nows it's probably 4 out of 10 & with the 6 out of 10 done probably 5 out of the 6 done wrong. :Twocents: :shruggy: :scratchchin: LEON.

:iagree:   I did mine the "neat" way....taped everything off and just rattle canned some satin black in there.

Either way you choose you did an awesome job

Thanks guys, I did 90% of the work myself with a lot of guidance from my father in law. It was sent out to someone else for paint and to put the windshield back in but thats it. Just can't wait to take my son for a drive- hes 18 months and a car nut already.

Looks like very nice detail, Shawn. I, too like white cars. I think that color makes most cars look larger! Rick
