Who is the oldest and who is the youngest here?

I know that in the past we've posted our ages or there abouts but has anyone ever checked to see who is the oldest and youngest member? ( I know membership changes all the time)

I'm mid 40's group (class of '78) going on 16 or 90 depending on the day so I think I'm somewhere about the middle or God forbid upper middle? I'm pretty sure there are some who are well, a fair bit older than me and I know there are tons of younger guys.

So, who is the oldest and who is the youngest? By youngest I mean not an infant and by oldest I mean still breathing!

Is anyone over 60?

I think Im the youngest (14) and PocketThunder is by far the oldest...his profile says he 112 :D

I'm 44 & graduated high school in '80. (I only look 80 & like I graduated in '44.)  :D
I don't feel old until after I try to get up off the floor from sitting in an awkward position after playing with my 7 year old daughter.   ::)

As a teen through the 70's, I got to see a lot of the cars that all of us have & like when they were new, or just only a few years old. A friend of mine who was a year older, had a '69 Charger that I'd get to ride in & loved it. It was a 383-4V, a light metallic tan with a black vinyl top.

I'm 27, been tinkering with old cars since I was 17.  I've had 13 Chevelles, 2 Chargers, a Dart, 3 Cutlasses, a Nova, and a few other cars that I can't think of right now.
I still have 4 Chevelles, 2 Cutlasses, and 1 Charger.

I'm 43 and didn't own a Mopar til I was 25 or so when I traded my '74 Nova for a '78 Aspen R/T. I had that car for 10 years.

Charger 490 has me beat.  I am 60 1/2.  Took my first ride in a new 68 Charger when I was 22 years old and have loved them ever since.  Charger 490 has it right.  I don't feel a year over 22 when we are driving the 68 around.  Chargers are the fountain of youth!!!

Oooh, that reminds me...I need to water my money tree, so I can fix my fountain of youth. ;D

42 here & today I don't feel a day over 57. :icon_smile_tongue:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

OldGuy

Charger490 & 19charger68 have me beat.  I turned 60 today.  Bought my 1st Charger in 1969 - 1968 R/T.  If the weather holds here today, I will take the 69 out for a spin with my bride of 37 years.

Old Guy:  Congratulations and Happy Birthday.  For some reason, turning 30 was harder on me than turning 60.  The difference is that when I look in the mirror now I have to keep asking myself who the he!! the old guy looking back at me is!  From this point on, every day of walking, talking, and breathing is a blessing!
Bruce

OldGuy

19charger68 - I agree with the mirror thing and the blessing to be able to get up and walk.  Got to enjoy our Chargers while we can still drive.

By the way - the love of my life is baking a cake for me now as I post - couldn't have made it this far without her.

Old Guy:  You are indeed a fortunate man.  Your wife is beautiful!  I too lucked out and married a lady that brightens each day.  In addition to being beautiful, everytime I talk about possibly selling one of our cars she says no way!
Bruce

OldGuy

19charger68 - It's great to have a life long companion that you can both share a passion for the same things.  We dated in my 68 Charger R/T.  When we finally got to the stage in life where we had a little money and time, we bought the 69 Charger.  She then surprised me with a 1968 Charger, 383, 4bbl, 4-speed for Christmas a few years back.  Whenever I talk about selling one of the Chargers, she definately expresses her opinion in no uncertain terms that it isn't going to happen :icon_smile_big:

By the way, the terrain in the background of your "beautiful trophy holder" looks familiar - where was it taken?

Old Guy:  Againi I say that you are a very furtunate man!!!!  The photo was taken from our front yard in Belen, NM.  The mountains in the background are the Sandia's.  Keep hoping they never put any houses out there so we don't lose the view!

28 years old here. I think I kind of fall on the low end of the majority of this hobby, but then again one of these days I'll be smack in the middle of the oldest too.

I don't know how old 3Daytona is, but I think he is around the same age as Charger490. I doubt Jim will chime in here, I know he would say he feels 25 or so.

GTX

Well to you guys who are chronologically older than me, I salute you!!

I think it's just as important to keep the guys who were there to drive these cars off the lot new interested as it is the new generations coming up. I'm always running into guys who drove the cars new but no longer have any interest and don't even seem to want to discuss it which I think is sad. So many stories to hear but no tellers. So many pictures of cars when they were brand new floating around in albums tucked away...maybe even my car!

Like I think most of us here, I was driving these cars after you guys were done with them and while we have tons of tales to tell there are still many untold from the guys who had them before us. By the time I was buying these cars they were usually back row specials on the lots since many people were moving away from huge engined muscle cars in the mid to late 70's. But not us!!!  ;D

Hats off!
