XV Motorsports Open House - June 16th

XV Motorsports is hosting an open house on Saturday June 16th which is open to everyone who loves classic muscle cars and high performance boats (read on about the boats)!  We'll also be holding two very special drawings for this event.

Our showroom will be open and we will have on hand a wide array of XV Supercars and rare original muscle cars including some original HEMI cars and even a real 1965 A-990 Super Stock car.

Bring your own muscle car (we want lots of Mopars!) or or any cool ride as our facility has a huge parking lot literally right on the Hudson River.  We expect there to be a large number of very interesting cars - it should make for a great car show as well.

We will have music as well as complementary food and beverages for all.

You'll also have a front row seat for the National Power Boat Association's NY City Poker Run, one of the largest offshore power boat events in the nation.  If you've never seen really extreme offshore V-Bottom and Catamaran's in action, this is a perfect opportunity.  The starting pack is reserved for boats that run over 100 MPH and the unofficial bragging rights for participants is for who gets to the Tappanzee bridge first - we are just two miles south of the bridge.  So you'll be able to see the fastest boats letting it all hang out.

Our friends at Ocean Performance in Old Saybrook, CT will be here as well with either a maxed out Cigarette or Outer Limits offshore performance V-Bottom boat that you will be on display and you can check out.  These two manufacturers build some of the hottest and fastest boats out there so you'll be able to check out something really special.

Just to make things a little more fun, XV Motorsports is offering two drawings for those who attend.

One by land and one by sea:

-A bonzai run down the Hudson River in XV's own 1000+ HP 38' Cigarette Top Gun named "Loose Cannon"  <br>
-A ride in one of XV's full tilt Mopar Supercars

You can see pictures below.

To be entered in the drawing for either of the rides we're offering, you need to submit a form in advance and let us know you're coming!  You'll also need to indicate whether you want to try for the boat or car ride.
Click for Form

If you've been thinking about coming out to visit us to see our vehicles or our products this is the perfect opportunity to do it!

We wanted to make this something special and are hoping you will all come and join us for what should be a very fun day.

We look forward to seeing you on June 16th!

Sounds like a great day! I had no idea I was only an hour away from you guys. I will most likely make the trip. I would kill to see your green '70 Hemi if it's there, and all the other great cars.  :yesnod:

Thanks for doing this.

Chris,

I'd like to see your Burnt Orange Charger as well.

Yes my '70 HEMI Charger will be there for sure - I'm not in a big rush to let it go.

If you enter the drawing for the ride you can pick that one if you like....
However, we'll also have a 68 Charger done for it that we're finishing up now w/ a 600 HP 6.1 HEMI, full Level II suspension, custom leather interior, 14" brakes,
4-speed computer controlled auto w/ overdrive and paddle shifter on the column.  It will be one bad ride.
So it won't be an easy choice!

Here's the 70 Hemi 4-Speed car

Earth. Even the word sounded strange to me now... unfamiliar. How long had I been gone? How long had I been back? Did it matter? I tried to find the rhythm of the world where I used to live. I followed the current. I was silent, attentive, I made a conscious effort to smile, nod, stand, and perform the millions of gestures that constitute life on earth. I studied these gestures until they became reflexes again. But I was haunted by the idea that I remembered her wrong -Solaris

Maybe we'll have to carve out part of the lot here just for Chargers.

Thanks!

Was nice out here today so we took it out for a spin.  That car attracts alot of attention.
The Charger has 34K original miles, was re-painted once (all sheet metal is original) but is basically a survivor that's never been apart.
1 of 56 70 4-Speed Hemi Chargers and very original. (I really like survivors)

The 65 A-990 Super Stock car we have is another one worth checking out.
Real factory lightweight car w/ factory Race Hemi.
Beautiful restoration was done on it before we got it.
The car is just an animal.
We brought it to the Atlantic Nat'ls last year and people went crazy over it.

Here's some shots of it.

No plans for that, just know Mike is planning on being there.

We're finalizing details for an on-track event we are putting together for later this year which people will be able to attend.
Nothing to do with Mike, but will be open to whoever wants to participate up to the number of cars we can handle.
This will be on a real deal road race course.  Won't be Mopar only - but will be musclecar only.

I wish I would at least have my permit by when you have the road race thing. I dont think a stock 74 charger with 14" wheels and original brakes would handle too well.

Actually, there was a tour held there for an Ontaio based Mopar club two or three weeks ago.
I believe it was the same folks that are involved w/ Moparfest with about 25 members visiting.

We're better set up here in NY for open house type events.

Hey guys - this is primed to be a VERY nice event. The XV Motorsport facility is right on the Hudson River and is simply stunning both inside and out. Plus, you will be blown away by some of the cars that are in the showroom. I will absolutely be there and look forward to meeting everyone on this list who can attend.

Cheers - Mike

Definitely not.
It won't be all Mopars here.

I already know of some pro touring cars that are not Mopars that'll be here for sure.

Mopar Action / Rick Ehrenberg will be her as well.

DQ, how much ballpark for a pro-touring 70 Cuda?

Cars we build start at about $135K and go to $230K.
Price is driven by year and model of car we start with and what goes into it as there are many, many options on how we can build them.

A fully loaded '70 Cuda w/ custom interior and all will run in the $180's to $190's.
Can be done for less w/ stock interior, etc.

If you are interested, give us a call and we can spec out a complete build.

Quick update...

We'll have at least one and very possibly two new XV cars at the Open House.

Here's the one that will be here for sure: 71 Challenger Convertible, 600 HP 6.1 HEMI, functional shaker hood, Viper Spec T56 6-Speed w/ triple cone synchros and 4.30 gears.  This one has 335's out back with no tubbing.

I'll put up a post w/ more pics of this car in the next day or two.
These are just some quick shots I took.

Mike M saw this car at a show we did last weekend.  People were really liking this one.

Other car is a '68 Charger, but I'm not 100% sure it will be here yet.

We're hoping to see many of you guys tomorrow!

We don't know what the total turnout will be, but we have people panicking we're going to be swamped.  We know of quite a few cars that will be there for sure, some friends of ours shipped in two cars from CA just for the event, including a 70 Cuda running a small block w/ twin turbos.  We've also been told two wing cars will be there.

The boat that will be on display is a brand new 39' Top Gun Cigarette running a pair of 700's.  Our friends from Ocean Performance will be there to show people the boat and give tours of it.

Loose Cannon (it's a 38' Top Gun running a pair of Merc Racing HP525's) will be docked nearby as well ready for run up and down the Husdson for whoever wins the drawing.

We'll also be handing out/announcing the first info on the Open Track event we have put together for October.  This has been setup as a full driving school/open track day w/ professional instructors -  just for musclecars...

Anyway, looking forward to meeting any of you who make it and should be a good time.
Weather looks good too - whew!

Thanks to everyone for making the trip out to our place.

Sounds like everyone had a great time, and we really enjoyed the day but are all pretty tired today.

There were definitely many really nice rides that came out, which was great.

Boats flying by was pretty cool too.  I was told the lead boat was running about 140 as it went by.
Sure sounded awesome.

My only regret is I didn't get to meet everyone as I was running around all day.

Anyway, we'll definitely be doing this again.
