Earth. Even the word sounded strange to me now... unfamiliar. How long had I been gone? How long had I been back? Did it matter? I tried to find the rhythm of the world where I used to live. I followed the current. I was silent, attentive, I made a conscious effort to smile, nod, stand, and perform the millions of gestures that constitute life on earth. I studied these gestures until they became reflexes again. But I was haunted by the idea that I remembered her wrong -Solaris

Sorry man, I didn't want to see that :icon_smile_blackeye: - - seems like a waste IMO when the grille, bumper and front end parts can actually find a better home on somebody's project...  :-\ :-\ :-\

Arthu®

It's just an 68, there were a ton of them anyways...

Well it matches the 1970 'cuda rear end desk that was made years ago. Should have been a Chevelle or Camaro - so one would cut down on their drinking.

darkfiire5000

There was a Challenger rear clip fashioned into a huge beer cooler at Columbus last summer.  All three pieces need to be a set together.

At least it wasn't the whole car...

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Old Moparz

Okay, I'll defend the person who built it.   :icon_smile_evil:

First of all, how do any of you know that the fenders or hood were worth using to restore a Charger? I've seen fenders that have had so much rust on the back half, that they were useless & not repairable. The same with a hood where the hinge mounting area is rotted. There could even be tons of bondo in what is there.

Next, what's wrong with keeping a spare grille somewhere safe, like within the recessed area of that bar that's probably kept indoors? How many times have spare parts have been kept stacked somewhere, where heavy objects fell on them & destroyed them? Also, I've seen parts being horded by a handful of people that will never be used, so at least these are being enjoyed.

I also don't see anything used to build the bar that was mint, or something that isn't being reproduced in the pics. The mouldings & signals are scratched, the plastic grille is faded & probably brittle. I probably wouldn't build something like that personally, but I think it's a pretty cool idea.  :2thumbs:

Is that the rest of the car in the second pic (top left)  ???

Charger_Fan

I agree with Moparz, those parts don't look like they're ready for any show car. I bet what's there was pretty beat up beforehand.

I didn't notice that on my first pass, good eye!
It's hard to tell, but it sorta looks like a '69 Cramaro/Firechicken quarter panel. :scope:

Moparguy, do you have any more pics?

Neal_J

Any chance we can strap a motor to it and jump it at Dukes Fest?

That would be awesome.
