Changing a bmp to a jpg, gif, or png?

Can anyone help to change some pics from a bmp to any of these ( jpg, gif, png) so I can post them?

How'd you get them as bitmaps any way? Which operating system are you using (Windows obviously but which version)? If you have Windows ME, 2000, or XP then MS Paint should be able to convert them to jpg format and it should already exist on your system. Do you have any photo editing software from a digital camera or anything like that?

piece of cake... you open with any graphic software including paint, click on SAVE AS and the you can change the extension on the lower box

http://www.irfanview.com/ I use this to convert gif to jpg, it allows bulk conversions as well.

That works for me too, I just open the pic in Windows Media Player, right click, select RENAME, and them change the extension to jpg.
