But I love single moms.  They need men like me to help put bread on the table.

Call me a nut, its just what I know and have seen.  I dont think any less of you guys for calling me a nut.

And we don't think any less of you for acting like one.

You're among friends.   :image_294343:

While I agree that we should try to avoid Troy's trifecta of naughtiness, I can't help but think this topic warrants a discussion beyond 100 variations of "this shooting was really bad."

If I didn't call you a nut, I would think less of my own self.  :icon_smile_wink: :-*

I got to hand it to ya Bull, you always know what to say, ...and how to say it.  When you comment on stuff, you nail it square on the head like "Troy's trifecta of naughtiness"- - very funny.  :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod:

I saw on the news tonight that an engineering professor (that survived the Holocaust) blocked the door to his classroom while the students jumped out the windows, and he got killed doing it.  A true hero.

Now if half those people had concealed carry permits, it might be a different result. :2guns:

:iagree: Exactly. If every well-adjusted, law-abiding citizen at that college had been exercising, or allowed to exercise, their 2nd Amendment rights the body count would have been around three at most.

The thing is at a college you cannot carry a gun on campus, even with a permit. I work at a college & we even ofter the class you need to obtain your right to carry, lab time is at the shooting range. But yet, no guns on campus. :rotz: I am going to take the class next semester, it fills up very quick, believe it or not. :yesnod:

Someone should have told Cho Seung-Hui that. ::)

So now a bunch of Utopians will start clamoring for more gun bans, and all that's going to do is make the public more vulnerable to such attacks. Because, you see, laws only effect law-abiding citizens. When will we be allowed to defend ourselves?

Rocky

Earlier this year there was a bill that would allow students and staff of Universities in Virgina (including VT) to carry if they were legally licensed to carry concealed in the state.

The most outspoken debate against this bill came from Mr. Larry Hinker from VT

"This will help parents, students, faculty and visitors FEEL safe on our campus".  Larry Hincker  VT-Public Relations

So Larry how did that work out for you? :eyes:

BTW there was another shooting last year in Virginia where students (from another school) used their weapons to subdue a murderer on campus without fireing a shot.
