Link is at the bottom of this thread. I've removed a lot of the names, for obvious reasons, but the first one at the bottom is from Col Brown himself.

Sir,

I thought that you might like to see this clip.  Col. (P) Bob Brown is a very
close friend of mine who played for Coach K. when he coached at Army (prior to
his Duke glory days).  They remain very close to this day.  Col. Brown commanded
the 1st Stryker Brigade in Iraq 2004-2005 and Coach K. asked him to come and
talk to the Team USA Olympic basketball team.  The team is made up of superstars
from the NBA.  Col. Brown also brought two of his subordinate leaders with him
who had been outstanding leaders in combat and top varsity athletes in college,
but had been severely wounded in Iraq.  Cpt. Smiley lost both of his eyes from
shrapnel.  Both officers are being allowed to remain in the Army in different
capacities and will be attending Duke University for graduate school prior to
returning to West Point as instructors.

They really connected and bonded with the all-stars as you will see in the clip.

Army Strong!

Vr, Mike

Chip & Mike,

>Just click the link below to view it.  This highlights one of the three
wounded heroes from my brigade that I brought with me to speak to the USA
Olympic Basketball Team in July.  CPT Scott Smiley is an amazing young man, he
continues to serve despite losing both his eyes while protecting his men.  Where
do we get heroes like him?  This video recently aired on ESPN, CNN and NBA TV.
In honor of the wounded heroes, Team USA decided to salute the crowd when they
make a great play - pretty awesome.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?
