Hello all . Im new to this site . I have been on the dodgecoronet registry for awhile ( my car) . I just thought I would tell you about my Dad's Car . He has a Daytona that he bought brand new from Mcginty dodge back in 69 . He has had the car ever since . It has spent the last 15 yrs or so in the garage 90% of the time. It is Black with a white stripe . he used to cruise Indy all the time. I was with him from '72 on  lol  ..  original color was a baby bluish but it faded on him rather quickly and he had it repainted at the factory to the black it is now . It is still in great shape . The only major work it need is a paint job . We have been working on it for the past few years but not getting much done and not in a hurry. Now that he is getting older he is finding more time to work on her. I know he was a member of WindWarriors club(?) . back many years ago . I dont think he still is though . I know this car has a well known history around these parts . Almost like a myth type of character . I have pics to post as soon as I figure out how to post on here. I put some pics on my myspace page and it has recieved plenty of attention . I really like looking at all the Daytonas and chargers on here. Great cars!! I have a 68 coronet with a 440 . Always wanted a charger but found too good of a deal on my coronet after high school and kept it ever since too . Ill work on some pics if you are interested! thanks!

If we're interested?  We sure are! (probably the one time I speak for everybody )
There is a good primer on posting pics in the site suggestions section.  I look forward to seeing them and welcome to the group.

First off, Welcome to the site!!!  Glad to have you here!  Neat story about your Dad's Daytona - these cars almost always have an interesting story, and it is REALLY cool that he's the original owner.

If you need help posting pics, just look around the help section (click here) (or here) (or here) or feel free to ask questions.  We're all picture hounds, if you haven't figured out already.

Thanks for joining up!

Nice!  welcome.  Do you have a link to your myspace account?  Or maybe we can put Ponch on the trail... :coolgleamA:

I believe you're quite right. :yesnod:
However, he's slippin' a little...normally he would have posted pics by now, starting with the day it left the assembly line. :icon_smile_big:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Welcome to the site.

Local Indiana native here myself. Although I don't have a Daytona, just a 500. My dad had several of the wing cars in this area when I was younger. Between Daytona's and Superbirds it was 7, 5 Daytona's and 2 Superbirds.
