           Hi there,

I bought a 1969 Charger R/T S/E automatic 440 car that is matching numbers. The color is factory hemi orange with black vinyl roof and black interior. It is heavily loaded with options including factory sunroof which I know is rare.

The other options include:   Dealer demo, power disc brakes,6 way adjustable seat, auto speed control, power windows, air conditioning,am/fm stereo with 8 track, rear seat speakers, rear window defogger, locking gas cap, performance hood paint, both right and left mirrors and tach.

How rare is this car and what do you think it might be worth? It is matching numbers with the original fender tag and I have the original build sheet for it as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks,

                   Mark

:scratchchin: I'll give ya' twenty grand for it. CASH!

How much is it worth all depends on Condition & Completeness. Is it a Rust Bucket Basket case or mint 100 point showcar. If Basket case $1,000, If mint showcar maybe $100,000. If in between then price inbetween, inbetween $1,000 & $100,000, Sorry can't be more accurate with out a more accurate description. LEON.

Any sunroof car is a rare one...  :yesnod:

             Hi again,

This car is no rust bucket. No rust or bondo on it whatsoever,It has had one repaint since new (original hemi orange). The only things wrong with it are: speedo needle is broken off, paint chip by drivers wiper arm and the headliner has a couple holes in it.Other than that it just needs a good cleaning and detailing.

I am the third owner of this car.It also has the original wheels with reproduction redline tires.

If you post some pics of the Charger, and the body tag, that would help the members give you a more accurate number.
1969 Charger - 383 mag auto - Sold and sorely missed.
1970 Charger R/T - 440 mag - sold
1969 Super Bee - 383 mag auto - sold

I LOVE THAT CAR ALREADY! Did you buy it to sell ??? ...sounds to me like you did -  especially since you wrote: "just bought it" ...then asked what's it worth?  :yesnod:  I''ll beta the farm you got a screamin good deal on it  :scratchchin: , and if that's the case, it will be a good car for you to turn around and make some $$ on  :icon_smile_big: If it was mine, I wouldn't be trying to sell it  :'( :'( :'(

if you are really serious about selling it, I'm sure you would have a LOT of interested people on this board.....like me

              Hey there,

So I called the car carrier today.I should be receiving my sunroof charger this coming Monday or Tuesday.

                 1969 Charger R/T SE,matching numbers 440,727 auto,V2 hemi orange,black interior,speed control,6 way drivers seat,rear defogger,original wheels with original redline bias ply tires still on it,67 000 original miles,power windows,air conditioning,power disc brakes,factory sunroof,3 speed wipers,dealer demo car option.

This car has a lot of options (more than the F6 sunroof charger shell that was recently on Ebay). The only problems it has are the following.   1. Three small holes in the headliner
                2. Front bumper has to be reinstalled-taken off to have rechromed
                3. Spot of paint on cowling near drivers wiper arm peeling off (about the size of a golf ball)
                4. Small crack in wood grain steering wheel
                5. Needs to be detailed.

Are factory sunroof 1969 Chargers actually rarer than a hemi car or not? Also what do you think this car is worth? How many 1969 Charger R/T SE sunroof cars were built?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.I paid $45 000.00 for it.

                 Mark

If you really want to know what your car is worth, pay a certified appraiser for an actual value in writing. This will be valuable for insurance purposes, and also for your peace of mind.

Rare is good, documentation, originality, and condition is just as important.
Cars owned:
1968 Dodge Charger, 48k orig. miles, family owned since new.
Not a Hemi, a mini-hemi 340.

Are Factory sunroof chargers rare? Depends on what you call rare. 292 is what I have heard as the total production of sunroof chargers in 69.

RT/SE's with a sunroof? A little more rare, I believe that there was 29 RT/SE's with a sunroof in 1969. Your car being V2 orange, would be the first one in that color that I've heard of. I know of 6 total RT/SE's with power sunroofs from 69, but none were V2 orange.

Strangely enough, anyone else seen a power sunroof car with crank windows? Just curious, every power sunroof car I see has power windows, except for the 69 SE sunroof car that I sold.

PM me.

Just 6T9 CHGR

Actually Danny,  391 total produced for '69.

So far in the registry I have 16 total sunroof Chargers registered...5 of them are RT/SE's    Not sure on the break down of RT/SE totals though.

I have (1) 99 99 Butterscotch Yellow, (1) A4 silver, (1) F6 green, (1) T5 copper, (1) Y4 gold

Yours would be the first V2 RT/SE as well as the first V2 sunroof car period I have registered.
Your car would be the third with the V21.  The 99 99 Butterscotch yellow & a B5 blue XP car have this in my registry.

You have a hot one there for sure......I think you got a great deal if the car is restored already.

Please take the time to register the car.  Would love to add pics to the gallery as well.

            Hi again,

I received the original broadcast sheet from the lady that I bought it from. The vehicle order number is 928302.This also matches the number stamped on the fender tag. This should prove that it is a factory sunroof car.

Chris,I will register the car in your registry and send pictures to you and post them on this board as soon as I receive the car on Monday and clean it up.I will also call you today Chris about this car.How do I post pistures on this board? I never have before.

Also, do you guys think that I should call Galen Govier about this car?

Chris: I believe that I registered my other 1969 Charger R/T F6 green car with your registry.Am I correct?

               Hi there,

No,this wasn't the car that was on Ebay. That car was a F6 green R/T SE with a F8 interior. This is a hemi orange sunroof car with the V21 hood treatment option on it.

I live in Edmonton which is the capital city of the province of Alberta,Canada. There are a few chargers in my area but not a whole lot.

How do you post pictures on this forum?

           Mark

69_500

The photo's need to be resized to under 200Kb before you can post them.

which may or may not be the problem.

My mistake on the number of sunroof cars. Was it 292 that aren't R/T's then? I could be way off, but for some reason that number came to mind for sunroof cars, as its exactly 100 less than 500's.

But hey 391 isn't a huge number either.

Earth. Even the word sounded strange to me now... unfamiliar. How long had I been gone? How long had I been back? Did it matter? I tried to find the rhythm of the world where I used to live. I followed the current. I was silent, attentive, I made a conscious effort to smile, nod, stand, and perform the millions of gestures that constitute life on earth. I studied these gestures until they became reflexes again. But I was haunted by the idea that I remembered her wrong -Solaris

Mark, yes you did register your F6 car back in Sept of '06.   You can email me the pics if you want & I will post them ASAP.

admin@1969chargerregistry.com

The 928302 number confirms its the 302nd of the 391 total built...."928" is the code for the sunroof.

Good luck with the car.......contact Galen at your own descretion

Have you had a chance to email the pictures yet?

Thanks

Badbob

Mine is #235, manual crank windows, manual steering, manual drum brakes and, oh yeah, manual 4 speed.

Just 6T9 CHGR

The latest I have is #359 which is a T7 318 car....the earliest is #048 which is a Y4 R/T 440 car.

Bob, yours & an A4 RT/SE are the only 4 speeds.....

           Hey again,

The car carrier just called. I will be picking up my 69 V2 sunroof Charger R/T SE tomorrow. Chris, I forwarded some pics of the car with fender tag and the broadcast sheet. Could you post the pictures only on the forum for me?

When I get the car tomorrow I will clean it up and try to post some pics on here myself or will send some to runninhorn and maybe you can post them here. Thanks,

Your car has all the same addon options my car has, except for 2, Sunroof and hood treatment, might even have the hood treatment, I'll have to check the fender tag.  Mine is of different color, interior, and stripe delete though.  Mine is far from in its original shape though.  Had dual mirrors, am/fm 8-track (now long gone), cruise control (gone too) Sounds like a sweet car.

Post some pics when you get a chance.

Nice car, it looks cold up there. The price sounds about right, because of the color and the options. SE's with Power windows are very cool.

My ex B5 RT/SE Sunroof car back when it was a $500 beater I bought out of LA.
In it's short life to that point it had already been transformed from beautiful dealer demo
to street racer @#%^pile. I did the dayclona conversion and sold it to a fellow in
Vanderhoof, BC, Canada. Anyone seen it lately? XS29L9B225536

Thats a nice car as well.  Was it coded for the V21 & hood pins?   The J45 hood pin option is super rare as well.  Only have 6 total in the registry out of 1300+ cars.  Any other pics/tag info on that car?
