Yea, I am pretty excited about seeing the front wheels up in the air and that wing going parallel to the ground. You should go ahead and cut a hole in your floor pan so you can see where you're going. :2thumbs:

Maybe I missed it somewhere in the thread, but what tensions the inner water pump belt? I'm not familiar with the early hemi stuff.

GeneralLeeTESH

The inner H2O pump belt is a class 1 fit with its March-pulley set. It is under specific tension requirements !

Awesome Mark!

About that scoop.  Man, that is close.  With your skills, why don't you cut it in half and take some out to flatten it.  Then you would create almost a venturi effect because of the smaller opening and get more air, and the air temp would be cooler going in as well.  Even more power in theory, right?? :icon_smile_big:

I hope that cooling fan works for you. I had one just like that and my engine was stock bore and would overheat in any type of traffic....like a car show :Twocents:

As far as cooling goes- I am running a Chevy BB 4 row Truck Radiator (made for towing a camper up over Stevens Pass (I-90) ! It's Brass and will do fine. I am also running the BB Chevy hi-flow water pump.
The crossflow cooling setup should work well also. I am running a Mech. Temp gage. I will take data ! Stay Tuned !

Roger that one troop. Well-got her running today ! She sounds like an old F4U-1A  Corsair on start-up and idle run-up ! A You-tube video :

Well-got the engine to run @ 410 rpm (used a digital tach to set this) and a top rpm of 7200 rpm during a no-load test. She ran 160 deg. F after the thermostat opened up and saw NO oil or H2O leaks ! The hood and front end along with the special Flight-Test interior go in next (in respect to the Aero-themed cars we all love )!  :icon_smile_big: :scratchchin:
Hopefully- I can get a more decent video this weekend and post her up on You-tube !

Nice to hear it running!

What is the contraption outside your shop door with the hot water tank and a tube mounted to it with a turbo on the end? Looks interesting! You aren't building a rocket too are you?  :smilielol:

unless it's my imagination i see the front cyl. wire arching onto the valve cover... and your right, it does sound like a WWII  F4U Corsair...

Brock-no arching...just off on the timing a bit-plus the progressive linkage/choke needed a little tweeking. I'll try to post a video by Monday if I can !
