Changing the subject.
Back when the fuel guys were bailing out on the 392 and donovan stuff and going to the 426 stuff, I had a couple of the funny car racers give me a truck load of 392 stuff, blocks, mondello heads, cranks and blower pistons. I held onto the stuff for a while, but since you couldn't buy parts for them anymore, I gave it all away. Now you can buy anything for them, rings, pistons, gaskets, etc. I did a lot of stupid stuff like that when I was younger. Wish I had that stuff back.

This thread's been cleaned up of at least some of the personally-oriented replies (some old and more recent stuff as well).  There were lots of them, unfortunately. 

While I don't want to make a huge deal of things, suffice it to say that I hope the focus of this thread can remain on the project and not become a discussion of how things are being discussed.

HEMI Intake Valve Differences:

The Intake valve clears the cylinder wall  by 0.030 "  (thirty thousandths of an inch !)

Funny, this reminds me of a case of Uncle Jesse's finest moonshine (usually found in the trunk!)     ....but this case , you can subsitute moonshine for "jugs"!

...NOTE: The crank has threaded bolt holes (normally this is a bolt-thru set up on a stock HEMI old school crank ) ! The Summers Bros. Adjustable pushrods are all part of the “dial-in” of the timing/valving systems. We are BUILDING and engine…not just Assembling one. This block is CUSTOM !!!

Gotta give the paint a day to harden up; then pull off all the tape and start on installing the center sump oil pump, center sump oil pan and gasket. Then it's on to installing the custom Aluminum Valley  cover, new Chevy BB water pump and Timing chain cover from HotHeads, then install the Intake Manifold, dual carbs, Progressive linkage, Malory Dist, SS fasteners, Sparkpug tubes n Coil and SP clamps, Oil filter adapter kit from Wilcap. Then it's time to get her ready for the run stand!

Ritualistic Blessings of Holy OIL were bestowed upon the Orange mill today by Fr. Jimmy "HEMI" Majors. He also was amazed by the paint job !  Also shown is the "scoop" custom painted along with the Valley Cover from Hot Heads !  The Internal Valley Pan baffle had to be cut/rewelded fo fit under the new Valley cover, which goes over the top of it. The Weiand Intake goes over these.
