steering gearbox seals

i was looking to replace the box in my car with another and i thought i would change the seals on the pitman,and sector shafts.When i looked up the seals they have 3 different kits.A master kit that contains all the o rings,seals and such.then there is a kit for each shaft that has a seal and a few othe parts.then a 3rd kit which is just the seal.
does anyone know if when you replace the seal on either shaft is there other parts that can't be reused.I believe when kit came with a new nut or snap ring or something by the description.I haven't yet taken my other box apart.thought i would ask you guys if you had run done this before.
