I stripped my charger for a redo in summer of 2001, took to a bodyshop around fall 02, he never worked on it so I finally had enough in summer of 04 went an picked it up and brought it home. The 2 yrs he had my car I rebuilt engine/ trans, restored my grill, repainted my dash, painted all brackets, parts , every detail Item I could. I have also been collecting parts over the lasr 3-4 years, bought as money would allow, I have new alternator, started, tranny lines, headliner, seatcovers, weather stripping, emblems , the list goes on and on not to mention good used parts i've purchased at car shows, moparts and ebay. Its been a slow effort for me, When my car finally gets body work finished and painted it will all be going down hill pretty fast. I'm thinking about doing body/paint myself I have a little experience, But my question is do any of you guys doing complete teardowns & rebuilds ever think about just putting it back together to enjoy it. some times i feel like doing it, but then again I think I will be wasting all the effort, work , years and not to mention $$$$ I put in it to waste???? what are your thoughts?
