column shift to console shift

Do i have to change out steering column to change the shifter from it to the floor?  Other than the shifter and the indicator in the column is there anything else thats stopping me from using it as a driver?

No. Besides the indicator (and shifter, if you don't remove it) hanging there you won't have any problems.

tienes que cambiar la funda que va en la columna del blpante y pasarla por el piso pero tienes que agugerarlo

you can use the column you have just remove the shift arm

why not keep the shifter on the column? everyone seems to have them on the floor, whats the advantages? i like the buddy seat, its different

Column shift makes it look all family car-ish, you know, like a four door.

I've seen auto on the column`s used with console shift..They just sawed the column shifter off ..It's a pain in the arse to remove the pin sometimes

Planning on installing a B&M shifter.. right now i´ve got a column shifter and its quite hard to find a floor shifter column here in Europe.
Soo can I just remove the column shifter (the arm) and lock it into P so the keys can be removed when ignition is off..? That would be great.. shipping a steering column overseas is expensive
