Opinions on Red line tire size I should buy.

I bought a new set of 15x7 Road wheels last year for my 68 Charger R/T and now I ready to buy the red line tires.
I'm just can't decide on what size to go with.  The Charger is a 35,000 mile survivor. It is still riding on a 30 year
old set of F78-14 ww with the original wheel covers. I want to improve the car's looks with the chrome road wheels and red
line tires, but I also want to retain a some what stock tire size appearance. I'm only looking at red line radials, so I have been concidering
Coker 215/65R15 or 225/70R15 or maybe the Diamond Back 235/60R15 or 245/60R15. Any advice?? :icon_smile_question:

Pic of the car as it is now....

I went with the skinny whitewall Diamond Back's (235/60/15's) on my 1967 Coronet...here's a couple of pics for you.  By the way, my car is an original paint survivor as well. Previous owner was member RTPTRON.

Nice 67 there... it looks good with the white walls.... Your Coronet brings back memories. Here is a pic of  the 67 Coronet that I use to have. I traded it last year for the 68 Charger. I had to toss in some extra cash in order to make the deal.

I like your 67 as well... Where did it end up when you sold it?  By the way, I had redline tires on my car last year.... I love the look of redlines, but they just looked out of place on this particular car IMO, so I went back to the skinny whites.

I did a car swap with a local guy that I knew. He got my Coronet and I got his Charger. The Coronet was also a unrestored
survivor and it had only 27,000 on it.
Here is a picture showing the original 14" wheels and wheel covers. I traded the car with both the 15" road wheels and tires
and the 14" stock wheels and tires as part of the deal. That's the original interior that you see in the second photo!

Is anyone one out there running 225/70/15's on their Charger?  I have been kind of leaning toward
that size. I just wonder if they might be a little too tall. ???

the more sidewall you have , the smoother the ride. Rene

I like both cars. (LL1 1967 Coronet & rarefish) I think the whitewalls on your car LL1 1967 Coronet was the right choice vs the redlines. I think it has to do with the fact that they compliment the vinyl top and redlines would compliment the paint on rarefish's '68. I also like the yellow Coronet. That interior is beautiful!
