   So I'm selling some Roadrunner/Charger parts on E-bay and some guy bids $100 on a '70 Roadrunner pass. door. Ok, opening bid is $65 and $100 was reserve met. So this clown advertised to everyone what my reserve was for a whole day, then re-tracted his bid. His explaination was the usual..."Bidded wrong amount".
       So I checked his Ebay history and saw his 46 other BID RETRACTIONS...So I sent him this....

    "Thanks for revealing my reserve price to everyone, then backing out. I hear alot of people do it on purpose. Don't bid on my Mopar stuff any more or I'll cancel your bid."

       He sent back this...

   "you know what F*CK YOU DUDE!! I was the only bidder on the piece of shit. It wasnt worth the 100.00 plus shipping cost!!"

      So I sent this...

   "Thanks, you can add it to your other 46 bid cancallations. People can see for themselves that you bid on things you never intend to buy."

      So of course he replied...

    "look ass hole look at my number of transactions and look at yours dont tell me i never intend on buying anything. So go f yourself!!!"

      And I replied...

    "By your language, I'm guessing your 12 years old. Does your mommie know you're on the computer?"

     He must be having a bad night, with it being Easter and all. Can't you just feel the love?

i really hate trying to sell stuff on ebay, you get so much crap from people who have no intention of bidding just a lot of nose trouble.
it also bugs the crap out of me to see all the know it alls  sending sellers  emails telling them what their stuff really is or how much its worth.

I'm beginning to think that some poeple think  hanging out on ebay and correcting peoples ads is what they do for a life cause they  dont have one of their own.

I had some stuff for sale on the bay last year that came directly off my car and had at least 5 different people tell me that the parts did not come from a 66 charger.

  That happens to me too. The other guy has 1227 feedbacks and he doesn't care that we have 31 in my case, so they just blow you off.

I have had the same experience. My feedback would be 33% more if all the sellers I bought from left feedback for me. I asked one seller why they didn't leave feedback for me and they responded that they were waiting to see if I would leave positive feedback for them first. Needless to say they are still waiting on mine and will be forever. The way I see it (as a seller also) is that if a buyer was friendly, informative, punctual with e-mails and payment that rates an automatic positive feedback in my book. I wouldn't wait to see what they thought of my item and business practices. Theres a word for all this. EXTORTION!

I agree with all of you.  Ebay just totally sucks. That same retard that you had a problem with bid on my charger back in november.  He found out my reserve then had his bid retracted.  What a douchebag!!!  I just hate it when you spend an hour writing out a description puting in all the good and the bad about product and all these idiots could ask is "ah hey man, what is your reserve and do you have a buy it now?"  also, I really hate it when they wait until the last 13 seconds to bid on your stuff.  I'm going to give up on ebay and go to craigslist

The feedback thing pisses me off but more than that is the fact that if you leave bad feedback for someone else, they can dump a pile of BS back on you. I have NOT left bad feedback due to this. I bought a set of 11" backing plates that came to my house just a bit small. Like an inch small.. I got in touch with the seller and he basically told me to go F myself. I got with PAYPAL and they got every cent back including my shipping BOTH WAYS. They6 told me this guy has pulled the same sort of thing before and they did the same for the other buyers. If you look at the guys feedback it is 99.6% with over 800 sales. Again, Ebay needs to change the feedback rules. They make plenty enough money to put mediators online. When telling Ebay and Paypal about this idea I was doing this.

  If you still need the 11" front backing plates, that's one of my ebay items. I'm not sure if the drums are re-usable because they're only 3/16 of an inch left on the thickness.

When I'm selling, I always wait for the buyers feedback due to being screwed in the past. Some a@@hole bought a couple of my items and paid through Paypal, so I left positive feedback and shipped the package. A few days later I get an email from paypal saying the buyer never received the package. It's obvious this guy is scamming, since the package didn't have time to get to it's destination (China), and the guy wouldn't return my emails. Paypal found in favor of the buyer since I didn't hang on to my shipping receipt. In Paypal and Ebay's eyes the buyer is always right unless you can prove otherwise. Aparently he was doing this to other people at the same time because shortly after I saw he had a few Neg. feedbacks and a few days after that his account was closed. And of course I never received any of my money back.

I can relate some what not in the feedback category  , but in the selling .   I sold my Rolling '70  twice and both backed out . Here it is  over a year later and  I still have had many buyers backing out in my own city.

That does suck that some less than stellar people can give us regulars such a hard time sometimes. I have a guy I'm dealing with right now that hit the BIN on a $200 bike rim I'm selling, and I haven't heard from him since. I don't have this happen very often, maybe one in 50, but when I do, it sure sucks.

Ebays tough to deal with, you are bound to get screwed eventually.  Its one of the best places to sell things though.  I have had items I listed here for about 6 months in the classifieds with regular bumps and no sale.  I put it on ebay and I get 125-150% of what I was asking here, and its bought and paid for in a week.  I dont like to use ebay, but when you need some quick cash it can be a good thing.  You just have to use alot of precautions... 

The feedback system is a joke.  Its not the "right" way to do things, but I can say that I never leave a feedback first as a seller for the same reasons listed above.  I used to do things the "right" way, all the time until I got screwed over.  I sold my first Charger to a guy who showed up to pick the car up.  He was anything but friendly.  I had 15-20 pictures and described the car in detail.  It was a basketcase at the time and I threw in a bunch of extra parts too.  I even helped him load it on his trailer.  I left a positive feedback for him as soon as he left with the car and a week later I get a negative feedback saying that it wasnt as described, but still a good deal.  That was a kick in the nuts too, because I loved that car and was only selling it due to the fact that I was leaving for the Army. I didnt use ebay again for a long time. 

So last fall I decided to put one of my cars on ebay that I wasnt having much luck selling locally.  I had my girlfriend list it for me, because I didnt have an ebay account anymore.  A guy bid on the car and won the auction.  He emails me his phone number, and I call him, long distance, to discuss him coming to pick up the car.  He was to come and pay in cash. Well the day comes and goes and he never showed up.  I called back and got no answer,  so finally I had her file a non paying bidder report and he proceeds to tell ebay that I was scamming him.  That my name isnt the name on the account and he had my phone number looked up and it isnt in my name either (roommates phone).  So ebay closes her account based on what he told them and he gets off with not paying.  I was pissed.  Still am actually... 

I decided to make myself a new account after that and I admit that I am extra cautious anymore.  But you really have to be if you want to do business at all on there.  Selling is riskier than buying, but I have had bad experiences in both over the years.  Now, I always require immediate payment (or a $500 deposit on higher priced items like cars).

Hey Big, if you still have his emails, contact Ebay and foward them to the abuse line. Its easy to block him from ever bidding on any of your items, good luck.
