A new patrol car in the Italian police force. Just what they need to catch speeding drivers!   What a car!

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

SeattleCharger

Pity they couldn't find someone who could drive it!

That's because............

In 2004, Lamborghini donated two Lamborghini Gallardo police cars to the Polizia di Stato on their 152nd anniversary. On the 31st November 2009 one of these 165,000-euro cars was written off in a road accident near the northern Italian town of Cremona where it was on display at a student jobs fair. The car apparently swerved to avoid another vehicle crossing its path and collided with two stationary vehicles, damaging it beyond repair.
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

First, I'm lovin' the cupcake storage area and I volunteer "my safe cupcake" services in keeping with fresh cupcake protocols. Second, what's not to like about a woman wearing a gun belt? The uniform is unnecessary dressage IMO.

Ok, that is kind of funny they made up a story about the holes on the dump being missile launchers   :scratchchin:,

propaganda picture I guess with the captions added.   400$ mill. is nothing compared to what the bankers got,
dang, resisting the urge to go off about that bigtime.  :icon_smile_angry:   but politics I cannot go into,
uh,  there is nothing behind the holes,  :shruggy:

The tubes under the bed of the dump body are heating manifolds, not rocket launchers. Blacktop, also known as "Hot Mix Asphalt" for paving roads, is made from various sized stone, sand, & liquid asphalt that is mixed at a plant & dropped into the dump truck hot. In order to get the asphalt to the job site & install it, it must remain hot. The truck has a heating system that runs under the dump body to do this. I'm sure the photo will circulate & create hysteria now.

I'll go with the rocket launcher explanation. The video looks plausable, and the "heating manifold" diameters really preclude them from being such. Plus they are open...how does any heating system heat up the bed of the truck with open manifolds?  :scratchchin:  Interesting picture and video.

I wonder how many government agencies are tracking us now for watching that video

I honestly thought that it would need to be better reinforced to launch rockets! But yes very possible!

Working in civil construction field and after having built many roads, hot mix asphalt stays hot by using its own heat, truck body and being covered by hessian covers and tarps, no special heating systems in them.

I work for a site contractor (in New York where it gets cold at times....lol) that also does highway construction & asphalt paving. The engine exhaust system has diverter controlled by the driver to switch the exhaust through the body, via a manifold, that lines up with the underbody tubes. Having said that, I also do believe that a civilian vehicle could be converted to military use to conceal it. It's just that in this case a dump truck that's heated really does exist.
