They didn't hear it.  They had the radio up too high and were busy talking on the cell phone.  If they did hear it, the usual response is "It'll quit eventually."

My sons Sunfire was the same. Asked him the same ?, did they make any noise, he said just a little. He did say it took a little longer to stop, go firgure.

A383Wing

we had one kinda like that, but it chewed the entire rotor off the hub.....

"Gee, we never heard any noise!"

Wow, When I had my shop, I had two different ones come in where you could see the outline of the inner fins, but never saw one all the way through like that.  :o

I had a Dodge Shadow come in with a "brake problem", went out to drive the car onto a lift.
Started it up and the stero was at full blast, so loud that I just shut the car off before I even looked for the stereo.
Figured out how to shut off the aftermarket noise maker, restarted the car, rolled a few feet, HORRIBLE noise from the front brakes.
Figured I better just pull the wheels right were it sat for an initial look.
BOTH front rotors worn through till they broke off from the hubs! :o
She drove it in like that. :rotz:

That's where people that buy toyota's and honda's watch their cars go get crushed, ask for forgiveness, and then go across the street and get a new Dodge.  Chevy and Ferd people go there as well and get an exorcism in a Viper.  :naughty: :engel016:

LMAO!  :smilielol:

I actually had this thought after my second surgery... I was slowly loosing consciousness as the anesthesia was kicking and I looked up to see a sight VERY similar to that; however, everyone was wearing GREEN, had goggles on (bug-eyed), wore masks (made them look like they had gills), and when they spoke it sounded garbled, mechanical, and alien...  Needless to say my last thought before passing out was "no wonder all those dipshits think that they have gotten abducted by aliens......"
Check out my full thread and progress here.

i was getting ready for surgery and every person would walk up to me and say "who are you, what operation are you having, which arm is it?  then after several times of this, this real hot nurse came up to me and looked at me and i just started talking " my name is jim, im here to have my elbow surgery, it is my right arm, and my phone # is blah blah blah"  she said " i didnt need your phone #" i said, " you might want it for later".  she just laughed and said to the other people "gas him". :smilielol:
