Another May rolls around and yet another Rhinebeck show / swap comes up...

Link:  http://www.rhinebeckcarshow.com/

When?  May 5 and 6.

Where's it at?     About 90 miles north of NYC or 60 miles south of Albany off Route 9 at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds.   Not too awful far from the Taconic Parkway or the NYS Thruway exit 19 (Kingston).   Of course there's directions in the link to the show above but I didn't need to tell you that.

As winners from last year,  George68hemiRR and myself are gonna hang in the winners circle on Saturday  :icon_smile_big:     I probably won't get to go Sunday due to other plans being made for me  :flame:

Some pics from last year from a local car show site.  http://popyourhood.photosite.com/RhinebeckMay06/

I'm hoping nothing comes up that weekend, I'd like to get there at least one of the two days. If I go Saturday, I'll look for your car Brian.

You're gonna love this one Bob...
I can't go Sunday because I have to go to this lame baby shower for Lisa's sister  ::)

It wouldn't even cost me anything to get in because I got the winner circle entry in the mail already  :brickwall:
So I'll just  be there Saturday.    Sounds like George will be also.

So much for me being there.   :brickwall:

My wife's bluegrass band is playing both days that weekend, so I'm taking my daughter to her friend's house for some kind of "Im done with the all important, self esteem building, 2nd grade graduation party" at 2 PM on Saturday.

Maybe I'll conveniently forget, it's not like the kid is finishing up a degree at Yale.  ::)

Looks like I'll see you guys at one of the cruises, Adams is starting theirs very soon.

The only way this could be good would be if some attractive, well endowed female guests decided to drink lots of beer and then go into the bouncy palace  :icon_smile_big:
Frankly,  I don't see that happening.  :icon_smile_blackeye:

I like that cop car Brian.  :2thumbs:

By the way, I stopped by the Adams cruise last night. My friend Craig was there for the 1st time with his white Superbird. (The one I put into the guide rail on I-84 last year.) He got 1st place in people's choice, said he never won anything before. Aside from the quarter panel work it needed from the accident, he had a lot of other work done. Some of it was directly related to why we hit the rail.

New wheels
New radial tires (No bias-ply shits anymore)
New springs
New shocks (No air shocks anymore)
New steering box
New front end parts
New calipers & brakes (Frozen caliper is what pulled me into the rail)
New paint
New bumper
New seat cover

I'm an idiot for not bringing the camera, I was in a hurry.

George, sorry I didn't say hi, I actually couldn't remember who you were by your car until you were leaving. The car is hard to forget, especially when you fired it up.  :D

Pete,

Will try to remember.    Check the upcoming show board...  I try to post things around the area.

Bob,  George and I are north of the Tappan Zee but sometimes we go south too.

Gas prices suck but I still try to get to Bear Mt. a few times on Wed. too.

George and I signed up for the XV thing also.
