Silly washer hose routing question

Ok heres one to ponder......

In another topic about washer nozzle mounting on a 69 Charger, a few people posted pics of their nozzles & hose routing on the cowl area.   I noticed both pics posted had the washer hose lining up straight across from one nozzle to the other.

looking at mine the hose is crooked because of the way the 2 clips are mounted.   One is mounted facing forward & the other the opposite way.  The cars with the straight hose have botht the clips facing the same way.

As far as I can tell my car was originally this way.  factory screw up?   hmmm.

Then comes this pic of a sweet R6 Hemi Charger posted on Moparts that is undergoing a nut & bolt resto......low & behold...crooked clips!!

Anyone else have their clips crooked?  See the pic

You know that is a good question....Its possible that the car is a 68....the topic (on Moparts) makes no refrence to the year though ???

See this topic for more pics to see what I am referring to.   The only reason I noticed this was because I took mine off to paint clear zinc......

A real quick look at road test pics, most appear to be opposite directions.

So do you think some just "evened them out" over time or it just depended on the line worker?  :scratchchin:

That wiper motor appears to be one that went on an earlier Mopar, maybe a 66.  You often see 70's wiper motors on 2nd gen Chargers too.  It's the one with the raised black plastic area in the center of the cover.  It's an improved switch.  The switch in the earlier models was delicate.  There was even a replacement lid for these available from Mopar but, of course, it's long gone.

Good to know about the zinc colored wiper hose fittings.  Thanks.

There must be a assembly graphic on how to install.I`ll bet it all depended on the worker.
