Well I was fooling around today with my "technique" and this happened. So I had to try it a couple more times.  :scratchchin:

Did you have the back flex line pinched off with the vice grips? :o J/K nice burn out!

Actually it has stock worn out brakes. When I slam on the brakes the rear passenger side skids and none of the others do. The only one I notice working is the passenger side rear and both fronts. So I stepped on the brakes and floored it and this happened. Anybody know why my engine drops down to about 500rpm and struggles to stay running after I let go of the gas?

You should see the tracks my 318 left after I put on my 4 bbl and my ignition kit. I was totally surprised! Now just wait till I get the whole engine rebuilt tranny done and some new gears.

Charger1973

I ran a 273 motor in my first 73 Charger that I pulled from a 68 Coronet.  i also had a 3 spd manual transmission.  I added a 4bbl and that thing was slow as hell but man it had some torque.  I could burn my tires all day long, but it wouldnt go anywhere.   :icon_smile_blackeye: ;D

I had a 69 Dart GT that had a 273, sounded like it had solid lifters in it, 2 BBL, automatic and a factory sure-grip.  That car would break the tires loose no problem.

I did it with a tired 2bbl stock 318 with 82,498 miles and a tired trans.

You call 82,000 miles tired ??? Shit, my never rebuilt 318 2bbl in my '78 Aspen R/T could do that with 190,000 miles on it.  :yesnod:

And that was a lean burn engine :P

He's probably more worried about it catching and going through the house or into a tree or something....

bordin34

Well I think he's trying to set an example. He said he never did a bunout with his 70 383 'cuda but his "friends" did them a lot and the rearend was shot. He also said that his "friends" 67 318 coronet would only do it for about 15 feet.
But my uncle comes right out and admits doing 110 in his javelin while racing a chevelle and getting a ticket.

-Thats funny

By the way, the best smoke burnouts are done with Hoosier slicks -Damn those tires smoke... Then there are ways to prep your normal radial tires to, but cause we have young kids checking out the forum, I wont get into detail how :stirthepot:

I burned my right tire down to the wire with a 318-2bbl with water ofcourse heh..but I could do a decent one wheeler without water..I needed new tires anyway :P
Earth. Even the word sounded strange to me now... unfamiliar. How long had I been gone? How long had I been back? Did it matter? I tried to find the rhythm of the world where I used to live. I followed the current. I was silent, attentive, I made a conscious effort to smile, nod, stand, and perform the millions of gestures that constitute life on earth. I studied these gestures until they became reflexes again. But I was haunted by the idea that I remembered her wrong -Solaris

Nice bordin34, I'm hoping to do a few of those this weekend, We'll see if I've fixed my problems and no more problems show up. Is also going to be nice to have a power steering pump that doesn't GUSH fluid out the bottom.
