I was in San Francisco earlier this week and after the meeting with our customer on Tuesday AM, we had some free time in the afternoon.  I was with two other fellas I work with and one of them has a Brother-in-Law that lives in San Jose, about 30 miles from where we were.  This guy has a company that works strictly with Porsche's, installing performance parts to improve horsepower, handling and the all out performance of the car.

We met for lunch prior to touring their shop and I was fortunate enough to go for a spin in one of their cars on the way back from lunch.  WILD!  The car has approximately 850 hp and can run the ¼ mile in about 10.5 seconds.  We were limited as to what we could do on the streets of San Jose but I quickly got an idea of just what this car is capable of.  This company is a two man operation that has close ties with the local Porsche dealers who send over their customers who want a bit more than what the Porsche can offer to them.

Now I will admit, these types of cars are not really my cup of tea but I will say, although I have always had respect for European sports cars, I have a whole new appreciation for these types of vehicles and what they can do.

Attached are a few photos.

Wow, that's all class.  They might as well be made of money, but considering the bills I'm getting for the Charger, I'm kind of in the same boat....

It is a kit car with a 300 hp electric motor.  Lots of power for a small car but the range is not very good.  They bought it from a local fellow that built it.

Thanks Mike for the pics.

I've always been a big Porsche fan as well.  Always wanted a 911 or a 930 Turbo.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Porsche...there is no substitute.

I'd love to get my hands on a RUF

You got that right.

The rotors are $2000.00 USD each and the exhaust system sitting on the floor is $12,000.00 USD.

The grey car that is on the hoist has been there since December.  The owner told them to take their time as he has another one to play with during the winter months.
