Does anyone manufacture the short frame rail section (I don't know what it is called) that holds the rear shackle on to a 74 roadrunner. It is a small section about 8 inches runs parallel the main frame rail. If not could anyone make a suggestion for fabricating one.
I just got an estimate from a body shop. $400 to $800 to replace both sides. Both are rotted to the point of being unsafe. The rest of the car and frame are fine, so I would hate to give up just for small part.

Heres a couple pics I just took.  This is from a 1973 Charger SE.  I think it should be the same.

Yes that is the same section.

In addition to the rail section, mine is rusted through both the cross piece in front and in the rear of that rail.

Thats the same section. Ours is made of 13gauge (.093) steel,   factory was 15-16 gauge (.060) thick steel
We are also developing the rear crossmember for the 73-74, we have one for the 71-72 now.
