We'll start with my old LimeLight 'Bird RM23U0A161559.  When my brother and I first got it, the original 440 was long gone, and it had a 383 in it.  car had black bucket interior, console 727, AM radio, Calif. emissions.  There was a trailer hitch on the back of it, and rumor was the owner blew up the 440 towing his boat.  Car had just a touch of surface rust behind the wheel wells on the quarter panels.(Probably saw water launching the boat?)  The "plymouth" lettering on the sides had been removed, except for the letter 'm' on each side.  We put a Hemi in to replace the 383, used a '69 k-frame (a mistake!), added a tranny cooler, and swapped the Dana out of the 440-6bbl 'bird for the 8 3/4.  Had the car's exterior fixed up at The Motorcar Restoration Center in Phoenix late '77-early '78.  Here a photo shortly after we got it (had time to re move the 'm's) and fresh out of the paint shop, before decals added.  (we decided not to put the Plymouth decals back on.  don't remember why; probably just to be different.)

Nice picture a friend of mine owned a petty blue superbird with white wing and scoops .like one seen in picture .It was Tom Haydens car before that .It was Bernie Kesselmans

That is (was) Tom Hayden's car in the photo.  1980 Baltimore meet.

Tom Hayden also had a daytona painted in the same colors.My friend had his superbird .And we know where his daytona went.And in the 80s Gary Lazar who built the superbird convertible with a hemi from to parted out hemi superbirds.Was moving to Fl .I called him and was thinking about buying it .But the car went to Switzerland passed off as a original superbird convertible

The 381533 car is now owned by Dean R. from Texas.  That car's Broadcast Sheet was reunited with Dean last year, in a three-way swap.  My friend Clayton's V2 (383270) car had a Q5 car's build sheet in it (381551), and the Q5 car had Dean's Y2 build sheet in it.  Doug Schellinger ran an ad in the DSAC newsletter and Dean got his car's Broadcast Sheet.  As a result, two guys got their original sheets back!     

I didn't realize that Tom H./Dean's Y2 car was painted Petty Blue.  I suppose since Richard was driving a Dodge by '73, it wasn't considered politically-incorrect to have Petty Blue on a Dodge.

I have alot of early photos and documentation on the Tom Hayden car .It was in the old car trader I have the ad after he passed away.He was a Ardmore PA fire chief .The asking price at the time on his car was $25K.He sent in a full page letter about buying it in Dec 74 and its resto history .In a DSAC newletter.I have as well

Nice job!  that looks much more like the cars did back in 78-82.  The photos do degrade abit over time.
