I posted a couple of videos of my dragster on youtube.  It's a Chevy motor, but the rear end is 8 3/4 mopar, and it sleeps next to my '68 Charger.

That goes right on down the line -- and your rear end is over the Mopar rear end so it shows the, ahem, trust.

If interested, check out out my 71 hemi charger (with an 8.75 rear end) at www.marlia.com.  Kim

Very cool '71 Hemi Charger you've got there.  My first car was a '72 Charger SE with a 318, so I've always had an appreciation for that body style.  I was very tempted by a triple black '71 Charger R/T project a while back - 440 4bbl, 4-speed.  I've already got too many projects and not enough money, though.  Thanks for the link, I really enjoyed your website.

Doug,

What was that last pass?  I know in your other video, you blasted 8.96@141   :o.  Is that a consistent, or have you made improvements.

Thanks for the video, that thing rocks! :METAL: :METAL:

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

The one at night was only a 1/2 track pass, while I was still working on getting my license.  It probably went 10.0-something at 80 mph, coasting from half track on.

My last full pass, I didn't get on video, but it went 8.94 @ 145 mph.  The 8.96 @ 141 mph run - it was hard into the rev limiter a couple hundred feet before the finish line, so I went and found a higher chip for the MSD, and it went 145 on the next one.  It still might have hit the rev limiter a bit right at the finish line.

I'm sure it'll go quicker, because I'm launching and shifting at much lower rpm's than I should.  When I really get it up in the powerband, it should be pretty wild.  I had one run where my launch rpm limiter was wired wrong, so it launched at probably 6000 rpm instead of the 3000 rpm I was expecting, and it yanked the front wheels off the ground.  "That doesn't sound righ.. WHOAAA!!!"  I got out of it right away, so it didn't get a lot of air, but I may end up adding ballast to the front end as I start raising the launch rpm's.  I don't really have a good idea what it'll do flat out.  Probably mid-8's.
