I'm in the middile of installing a new dash harness on the '68.  I noticed that the insulation on the steering column ribbon cable assembly going to the connector in the dash harness is really looking and feeling pretty brittle.  Does anybody re-pop these?  I assume that connections up in the column are soldered.   Thanks, Bob

the harness goes to the turn signal switch , you need to replace the whole switch to replace the harness , they are available new from Mopar & Year one but not cheap , $200 range if I remeber correctly

what you should know is the dealer TS switch is a repro and not as good as the original

Thanks Chris & Neil.  I don't do e-bay but I'll check at my Dodge Dealer in town.  That picture dosen't look like a ribbon cable, just single conductors without the plug.  I guess being a replacement that the pins on the end will fit into the original plug.  Bob

Yes , you need to map the positions of the connectors , slide the wires into the column & insert them into the plug
