could be the pick up in the dist or the coil overheating

thanx for the inf, I didn't give all the info I had, it's a 318 on a 74 R/R. I was wondering if it could be the ignition module or the pick up in the distributor. is this a common problem for Dodge electronic ignitions? thanx ?

Chryco Psycho

no really common but a good place to start looking, are you still getting spark when it will not restart? I fyou are it could be a fuel problem

tkkruzer

no spark but when i check it , it will spin a while then the spark comes back and she fires on 7 cyl. until i can plug it back in. then it will run for a few minutes and doo it all over again. I figured on just replacing the module and the pick up as well as the cap rotor and wires. i'm just wondering if the wiring harness could be involved. I can build the car from the ground up but when it comes to electronic ign's I loose my cool. :icon_smile_angry:if you know what I mean. thanx for the info :icon_smile_cool:

Chryco Psycho

try the dist pick up & coil first
