some progress on my daytona, pics

John done a movie a few years ago where the name of the charger was Traveler.  You can see the car on the Dukes season 7 in the music video.  It's basically a GL without the graphics.  I stay off of Facebook.

The movie John made that had the "Traveler" Charger was Collier & Company, And he used that name beause that was the original name they were going to call the "General Lee" as General Lee's horse was named Traveler, WB decided against it because the name was not widely known so they used General Lee instead.

i think thats the car .it has no gl graphics on it . it will have all the graphics on it when there finished with it

check this pic out . you can see my car behind them and if you look  way  behind them on a lift there's Jacks 70 superbird . it's a real one b5 blue too. that's the charger  the traveler  .cool shop . packed with Mopar stuff .

i just found out tonite that the race at the end of the show will be the restored traveler gl against me and my daytona. pretty funny

the dash is done . it was totally dis assembled . everything was cleaned replaced or adjusted . replaced all bulbs . decided to stay with the stock bulbs in dash . just replaced them with fresh ones .even the little one that shines on the key , very cool  . air brushed the grain on the dash face . it was full of scratches . somebody put a sticker on it and then scratched it all up removing it . put a separate dimmer on the gauges on the dash . they are led and needed a different  dimmer .the new  gauges are hard lined in . brass tubing on the oil pressure .i  left the stock ones hooked up .
  restored  the e brake lever that was frozen and rusted .works and looks great now. still have to put the se chrome trim on it . added an old school sun tach with chrome cup. replaced all the gauge decals . that made a big deference . it looks and works  great .i can actually see them now. i'm very happy with the way it came out. we're moving slow but at least we're moving forward .

getting the car ready to go to the chatterbox in upstate ny . they are displaying Jack's car warriors challenger there and we're bringing some of the club cars up there this weekend .
 Jacks helper took the wheels of and polished them. they have never been this clean . there gonna detail the car too . as most of you know i rarely wash my cars . i use to have show cars and grew to hate cleaning them .

i put the black stripe around the rear window . came out good and hides end of the headliner that you could see through the window and put the nascar style rear window strips on the rear window . they came out good too . i like how the look. they look like there bolted on but there not
