I love driving our wingrunner down the highways and see everyone pointing and taking pics. If they're not laughing, I figure they must like it.

We were buzzing down a back highway this morning in the wingrunner when some guy in a new Dodge truck started to  pull out in front of us. I went into panic mode trying to get the car shut down. I gotta get those disc brakes on that car...and soon.

thanks bro. i like that picture a lot . if you notice there is a flag in a cone . then down the way  there is a broom in a cone . i have a cone in between all the cars so when i pull them in i hit the cone and not the car in front of me

It's quite comical watching me back a car in the garage.  I usually stuff one in and drive the other for the season.  I used to use my wife's old little 6" mirrors and taped one up on the wall for my pass. view & one behind me to see when to stop so I didn't hit either wall. 

I've stepped up now and am using my old mirrors that I used to put under the car's at shows.

For my driving car I painted a piece of 2 x 6" on the floor in the color of each car so the girls know the difference, for stopping.

i'm gonna do all my updates on this thread . i want to keep them all together. i can't find my last update"taking my daytona to a higher level" so i might have to repeat some stuff. unless someone can find it for me  

i installed the headliner from hell . if your doing a vega hatch for your rear window make sure you transfer the headliner teeth to the plug and make provisions for the window trim . that's where i messed up . made everything harder. plus you gotta make a lip for the rear of the package tray.

first i did the roof and tray with phat mat. good stuff  .

I made new headliner teeth for Allen's car but my interior guy said that he glues them in and that I had wasted my time. Don't know...maybe. I do know that you need to make the package tray trim panel from scratch. The Daytona version doesn't fit the vega plug conversion. I have one that I ordered out of curiosity. Live and learn.

here is a pic of the headliner. i'm not totally happy with it but it got to the point where i just wanted it to be done . i think it came out pretty good . i learned a lot . if i ever do another one it will be better. i also kept the defroster in its stock position . i was gonna put it in the middle of the tray so it would hit the window better but it just became a hassle .
i'm not going for the stock look . i'm going more toward a resto Mod.

i used 1/4 plywood i tried 1/8 but it was to flimsy . i did not make mounting brackets for the window trim . so we had to figure out a solution at the last minute . i would have liked to have done that different . plus i was not happy with the headliner i bought from yearone it took a lot of stretching and heat to make it work  . 

i had been doing searches on the net and saved a lot of ebay pics of rear headliners on clones i saw on ebay. mine looks a lot better them all of the pictures that i saved . except Danes yellow clone his looks perfect . i guess i want everything to be perfect .but i am happy with the final results.
