some progress on my daytona, pics

Thanks Dave. I'll ask. I was tempted to weld up the new holes, and re-install SE emblems but that would mean more bodywork, more primer, more basecoat, more clearcoat and much more buffing. I'm too tired for all of that. I just want to drive the car.

Your right the Repop Charger Emblems fit like crap out of the box but with about 5 min of tweaking the fit like a glove .

They don't follow the contour of the sail panel. They tend to stick out on the ends. I'm afraid that if I try to bow them too much, they'll break. Might try a little more.

Your exactly right Cupcake !!!!! I have seen your work , this is Child's play for you !!!!! They will work ! I have tweaked them myself and found that one will fit better on one side than the other.

i had a lot of people go out of there way to help me with my build . i'm trying to pass the help forward and help as many people as i can.

i'm not a guy with a lot of money . i don't even have a garage to work out off . if i can get a daytona built , anyone can . if they put there mind to it.

Craig should be shipping the steel nose to us soon for Howie's nascar clone. Craig purchased a steel deck lid closeout panel from me a year or so ago and I had him and Howie get together since they were both building similar cars. As soon as my clone is finished, I hope to get back on Howie's car and get it finished before the Talladega event next November.

I am packing now for the flight back accross the ocean. As soon as I get in I will be calling craig to see how his progress is going. Then I will be home for the arrival of my new nose.

hey still working on her

trying to get as much work done before winter settles in. i welded the jack hold down in the trunk . i had to reshape the handle so it sat flat in the trunk . i'm givng the jack to my buddy to modify it so it looks more correct   this week.
. we're gonna try to get all the bodywork done in the next week or so . so i can paint the rest of the car flat black . here's some vids of us coming back from Jack's . Rene

been getting some stuff done on the car  . i will post more pics in a couple of days . i installed the repro hood blinker kit i got from p+g .  there like fog lights compared to the original 69 hood blinkers that where in the car . i like them .
