Hi...

I've got a 1968 Charger, that has the shifter up by the steering wheel.

I was looking for one with the shifter on the floor, but came across this one, and just fell for it..

What would it take to convert my car, so the shifter is on the floor?

I guess a new steering column, but what more..?

Also I'd like if any of you has any idea of the price for the conversion, or better yet any parts for the conversion for sale..

you need a lot of parts , the shifter & all linkage to the tranny from a floor shift car , you also need consloe brakets & a console which is now available repro , & replace the column with a floor shift unit

I think just the console itself... and shifter handle
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

I think PG classic has most of what you need including the brackets

The easiest route. Try to find a console and then add an aftermarket shifter, that way you will be able to save money and buy beer instead...

Here is a picture of how I did it. The shifter is a Hurst V-Matic ratchet shifter...

you don't need to, I kept mine in, but now I'm going to get one without the shifter. Because if just plain annoys me to look at it ;)
