I just found this, but thanks for posting it..I should have gone and seen the movie!! I think Kurt was best in "The Thing"  chopper pilot mcgraddy...no one remembers that though eh :yesnod:
Earth. Even the word sounded strange to me now... unfamiliar. How long had I been gone? How long had I been back? Did it matter? I tried to find the rhythm of the world where I used to live. I followed the current. I was silent, attentive, I made a conscious effort to smile, nod, stand, and perform the millions of gestures that constitute life on earth. I studied these gestures until they became reflexes again. But I was haunted by the idea that I remembered her wrong -Solaris

I make sure I watch John Carpenter's The Thing at least once a year. Just watched it not three weeks ago. MacReady was Kurt.

"Those damn Swedes were..."

"Their Norwegian, Mac."

And Palmer with those one pound spliffs.

And that character still is. Unless of course maybe Dexter Reilly from The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes. Maybe I'm dating myself.
