The New Challenger Question

  Does anybody know or has anybody heard what the options on the new `08 Challenger are yet?   I noticed that when you go to Dodge.com that they have a countdown to the release of the car, but thats about it.

I haven't heard anything yet from my buds that work at the Dodge Dealership on options. The only thing I heard was you can  put down a $500 nonrefundable deposit on 1.  And the dealership here said they prolly won't have 1 for their showroom for 5 years.

The rumour mill was smoking on Friday and Saturday that a deal was already done.... Now it looks like it was mis-information or mis-reported...
The current story is that DC will start accepting bids this week. I thought bids were already in from some of the contenders....

Should be an interesting day today.

My local dealer claims they will be making 4000 units, all SRT8 in 2008.  The whole lineup of models from 3.5 to SRT will follow the next year.  Just what he said.  Don't know if he's right.

Maybe he isn't full of BS after all as I just found another link on the cuda=challenger website today about this.   Not saying it's true, but I'm curious how this 4000 number is circulating..  The guy who told me about this was the owner of the dealership and he's given me inside info about other things (like the four door charger) that turned out to be true.   Who knows.  I'm not saying either one of you are right or full of BS.  I guess we'll have to wait and see.
