New Three Point Belts - XV Motorsports

Here's another new product that is ready to go right now.
Check out our website for more details and install pics on B, E and A body.

We'll be offering more and more things that we're using on our builds.
This was something we had to get properly sorted out for our cars, so here it is.

XV Motorsports is now offering a retractable three point seat belt solution for classic Mopar musclecars.

With these belt setups you'll be able to upgrade the safety of your ride using the same belts we use on our XV custom built cars.
We're also offering matching lap belts for the rear seats.

One of the key features of this product is that it correctly positions the shoulder belt over your shoulder and chest using a fixed drop.
Without this feature the belt gets positioned across your neck, whereas ours will put it in the correct location using the factory shoulder belt mounting point over the door.

Our belts feature:

-Locking Retractor, which allow freedom of movement but then lock automatically when needed
-Built in drop length to correctly position belt across your chest
-Push button release with custom XV logo
-Bolts in directly in minutes with no drilling required.
-Available only in black
-Designed to work with bucket seat applications

These belts will bolt in directly to Mopar B, E and A body cars that have a provision for a shoulder belt.

We'll be announcing some additional new products next week.

That's awesome John!  I am nowhere near the stages of getting them, but when I do, I'll definately be ordering from you.  I have the ones from Wesco, but they are not designed for the mopars in my 73.  But they work anyways and I plan to use them until they wear out.  I'll be getting yours for my 68.

Can't wait to see what other cool products you have coming up!

miamivice

this is fantastic.  you guys do excellent work!  will have to pick up a set when i get to my interior.
any possibility of doing other colors in the future?

Charger1973

Looks really nice.  I may end up with a set of those in one of my cars.   :scratchchin:

That's a great idea.   Perhaps a package price deal could be worked out?  (2 fronts, 3 rears).

The design of the old belts leaves something to be desired BUT it does look good at a show when you clip the belts in place at the front of the seats instead of just laid out like all the other makes....  but again, they don't work very well either.

terrible one

That looks like a great product, and would be perfect for me! I'm sure I'll buy a couple once my Charger is moving without me pushing it.  :icon_smile_big:

Looks like a great product. A lot safer then the old ones. I might have to ebay mine to get a set of those. :scratchchin:

autodynamics

i wonder if they have them in stock, or is it one of these products that never make it to production.

I had a couple of additional questions concerning installation in a 2nd generation Charger.  Specifically, there's not much room between the inner rocker and seat hinge where the retractor sits.   In fact, when the seat is most or all the wall back, there's very little room.  So the questions are (1) does the retractor fit with the seat slid all the way back and (2) is any modificiation necessary in the 2nd generation installation (like removal of the seat-foward knob, as on the 69 Dart pictured on their website.  Oh yea, question 3 is the availability of colors other than black.  Thanks!

Have you tried to order anything from them (XV) that wasn't in stock? Just asking because I haven't heard anyone say that. I can think of one company in particular (not XV) that has that reputation... ;)

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Interesting. I hadn't seen anything like that yet. The most common things I read are people whining about the prices - but that can be said for nearly every vendor.

The picture of the Charger installed is with the seat all the way back.  No clearance issues.
We highlighted the Dart because we found an issue.  We checked a 69 RR as well and that one didn't need any mod, just the Dart.

We're only offering them in black for now.

We keep selling out of the subs, lower rad supports as well.
Depending upon when you order we may be in between batches of them being made up.

We try and order more as the supply goes down, but sometimes the companies we work with get backed up in making them for us.

Yes these are ready to ship.

if you want to do a group buy I can do the following:

If you can get a group buy of at least ten cars worth - i.e. 10 pairs of the fronts -
I will sell the fronts at 70.00 each and the rears at 19.00 each

Only caveat is you need to contact Scott at our place in NY to coordinate this with him as I won't have time to coordinate it.
Contact him, give him your contact info, credit card etc. as part of this and when we get 10 of these group buy orders we'll start shipping them.
I'll do it for the month of April.

You can reach Scott either by phone or email through our web site - look on the 'Contact Us' page and refernece the "DodgeCharger.Com" group buy.
Feel free to let other boards know about it if you like.

If you guys like the belts, you will be much more excited about the new product we are announcing next week  ;)

Cool on the deal.  Now my car was built late in 68, can I get a pic of what the mounting point is supposed to look like for the roof to see if I can use these? :scratchchin:

Thanks to anyone who can help with that.

I could kiss your right now! My mom is making me put in shoulder belts (I'm 17) and I couldn't find a good set up that I could install without a roll bar. Now I've got my answer. I'm in on the group buy if we do one!

One quick question:
Did you do any tests on a 68 Road Runner? I'll be installing these on a '68 Sport Satellite, will there need to be any modifications.
