The killing will stop when they are all dead.

I just saw a totalled 1973 Charger. Dude was drunk. Went off the road and rolled it.

Also saw a 1968 Charger hit by a torando the guy refuses to crush.

I cant believe they wrecked all these cars for such a lame movie. THis is the first time I ever got bored 2 min into a car chase..

70 Charger RT top bananna /68 Charger RT triple green

bull

Punk, isn't this like the 4th time you've posted clips for this movie?

nakita7

That was boring. Wow, a Tarantino film that's retarded...gee that's weird... :rotz:

See at least two cuts where the cars were starting to spin out. The first Challenger hit and it gets lost and cuts just before irt and the same for the Charger. Lame editing. Think Tarantino would have done better. Even for the Grindhouse type of cheese they were trying to portray, there is no excuse for lame edits.

Thing is, this was supposed to be the greatest car chase ever on film, but it is really lame, not very good at all.

And since when does a Challenger have a DOOR FRAME?!?!?!?!?

Gimme Vanishing Point (Even the remake is better than this!) Dirty Mary Crazy Larry and Bullitt!

All this crap was, was an awful excuse to destroy good cars for no reason. At LEAST the Dukes movie was mildly entertaining!

Man there is a guy not too far from me, he has one 73 S/E and one 74 S/E The 73 is KILLED on the left side, the 74 BURNED. Both happen to have a decent right front fender. The clown won't sell anything off the cars. There is nothing left, but he won't take anything off them. They just sit and rot. Under a pole barn there is a 72 Rally Charger, 400-4 speed yellow. The car is a COUPE the back windows don't even go down. it just sits and rots. Behind it is a Winchester gray 71 340 Road Runner, he let the engine freeze and bust, and just  left the car there!

There is a nice little red express truck in the driveway that hasn't run in 10-12 years and a really decent 78 Dodge Kit Car under a carport.

The guy is a flake!

The Challenger door frames in "Death Proof" --
I'm sure it was something that the movie crew custom-fabbed on the cars.  It provided a viable excuse for having the stuntwoman safely strapped onto the hood like that.

Without the added-on door frames, there would be no believable way of strapping her on at all.  Rearview mirrors won't hold any kind of weight like that, and even the audience would have realized it once she started getting flung around & jarred.  But very few audience members know musclecars well enough to know for sure that there was never a door-framed 1970 Challenger.
