Poor firefighter.... yes your knowledge of camshafts and engine geometry is quite useful...
It's your incessant and undying love for the edelbrock heads that still irritates me.

Really, what irritates me is people who won't embrace the truth....the E-heads flat out rock. Lots of guys run 9's with these heads....i'd say they work pretty good.  ;) Throw them on a flat top piston 440 and you've got 500+ horsepower on tap that will run on pump gas. Sure you can get the same from Indy but it'll cost a lot more and their machinework leaves a lot to be desired. The std port Indy's are really no better than an E-head allthough they have room to grow with porting....but that's a lot more $$$.

I'm sorry to irritate you your highness....my apologies.  :icon_smile_big:

no problem, I threw my bet in with the bulldogs, and look where they are now.... something will come to vindicate my loath for the E-heads... hopefully in the next year or so.
Otherwise I'm going to have to buy a pair to build mine....argh!

I find that I am the most recognizable, I mean honestly, I see myself, most days in the mirror and generally  :hah: I recognize myself.  Firefighter has been to my place the most often,  wrenched the most on my cars, dragged my car to events, drank my beer, etc etc  so he is next... BUT he is a Mod, so I guess he doesn't count.   ;)

The "aside from the mods" clause has been ignored so many times it's no longer relevant. Consider it gone.

Sorry Curtis....didn't mean to hijack your thread.....carry on.

Can I throw my vote in here? I don't know much, open my mouth too often, and learn much more than I put back into this site. But I have put in at least two good replies, try to use good grammer, spelling, and composition. That's gotta count for something.

Oh, and I'll have another

Over the years, there have been MANY who answered my questions. I have also met, chatted and helped many here myself, but, it isn't easy to nail it down to one person since we have many who are excellent in different areas. So if I had to nail it down to just one person it would have to be TROY. Without Troy, most of us would have never met.

Yes I was a member of the first group, but TROY kept it going long after there was nothing left and rescued the important threads and many of us.. It had to be an enormous undertaking on his part and it still is. Without Troy doing all of this we would not be the group we are today. Many Chargers would still be rotting away because this group has given many people the balls to give something a try that otherwise they probably never would have. Think about how much we have all saved because someone here explained to us how to do a repair ourselves... And knowledge of where to have specialty things done AND NOT DONE!! I could go on and on about this, but think you get it.. So yeah, TROY!!!!!!   :2thumbs:

I was a member of the old group and saw it descend into oblivion and joined this group within a couple of days of Troy rescuing the remains of the old site. He, graciously, started up this site and it bloomed into what it is today ...... the best MOPAR and Charger site on the web.

you are right Steve P., he has to be the most recognizable member here!

That's a good point I never really considered before. I suppose this site probably is responsible for the salvation of some cars that would have been scrapped and forgotten otherwise. Adding to that the internet in general has provided a huge market for cars, parts, help and increased popularity.

Time has moved on from 2007

Stu used to post a lot but now he's a hotrodder  :icon_smile_big:

Firefighter, HeyOldGuy & Challenger340 are a wealth of information, the place is richer for it and I've never seen them spit the dummy at anyone.
CudaKen is a hoot, but haven't heard from him for a while
Tan the Man, ultra dependable with pics from cars put up when you just havn't got time to check the links
Mopar John for his fastidious build threads serving as direct "how to guides'' for the Aero boys
Aero426 for his insanely accurate knowledge of 70 Aero racing, literature and yes, record albums of races, including the rest of the Aero regulars, Geno, Troy , odics and peers
Even Dirty Turban rates a mention, he does a mean job in the garage
Nacho and Pete from NH, Topher in the electrical section
Crazy hands Steve with the modern Charger/Daytona, Dane, the dude that built BlackIce whose name escapes me at the moment
Bull's huge build thread, again, historical "how to guides' rock
Poly and formerly Fred from the Oz land
Old Moparz , Dans 68, ws23rt and 68X426 for their general outlook on life
The Skips for a laugh
Troy Mod for running the show

But Maxim was a prick.

But Ghoste takes the prize for 2015

Some great people on this site, but I would have to agree 100% with Troy being the main guy. I rarely post on any other forum, and I'm thankful he kept the DodgeCharger.com site alive.
