Backup Light Switch

Where is the backup light switch normally located? I'm almost done piecing together my electrical system in the car and the reverse lights aren't working. I haven't located the backup light switch yet and not sure where it should be.

On the 68 with a console the switch is mounted at the base of the shifter, I think 69 & 70 are as well.

Beginning in 69, they were located on the transmission.  Auto and four speed are both located on the drivers side of the case towards the rear just before the section where the main case goes into the tailstock.
