First I would suggest photography lessons.

Step 1. Keep the camera still

I remember that its because of a sort of isolated rural area, not practical for paper route, otherwise he would have one in a second.

Bronze, I will say, although you don't have a job, you are young, most kids don't, don't worry.  and you seem industrious kid, you will be fine,  you are always doing something on computer or models or whatever, instead of watching 40 hours a week of tv like average kid in U.S., or playing nintendo all day.

I know a fella that might be willing to help out. He is the regional head of the RCCA (Radio Control Combat), and an avid model collector & builder. He litterally has hundreds of models, some on display, some still in the box.
If you'd like, I can mention it to him... and YES he is a huge Mopar fanatic... he has a few of the full scale working models in his garage.

Send a PM to DC.com member "wingcar builder" (a/k/a Doug D.).  Doug is a phenomenal craftsman in his own right.  Check out these two threads for just a few examples.

http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,23079.0.html

There's also a whole forum dedicated to scale models of old racecars here:

http://randyayersmodeling.com/modelingforum/viewforum.php?f=15&sid=a6d2372e4071fe220484ec0d21fd11fb

Doug ought to be able to give some real expertise to whatever you need, if he's not already entered as a competitor.

Hi Jim

I spoke to my friend the scrutinizing model man and Charger fanatic about judging the contest. He is more than familiar with Scale Auto, and stated that he would be willing to judge the contest. If you'd like to contact him, just let me know, and I'll arrange it.

Mike

P.S. Sent you a PM with contact info, just in case.

I have been building Model Cars for 32 years. Jim PM'd me at the CGLFC and asked if I would be a judge, but I HATE judging models! I know how I feel when somebody is picking my stuff apart, so I won't do it anymore. I just don't like picking apart anybody else's work.

I only go to two model shows a year because too many people are way into how many trophies they can score.

I just love to build models to suit me.

I MIGHT build a second gen Charger for this online deal.  I don't know, I have been needing an excuse to build a 440 Daytona!

I could just say somthing stupid here an make him look bad but I won't though, I did tell him that, this way people can't email the judges and try to get there way to the top and 1st place which I'm not saying that these Judges are that way which i do belive they are on the way up and up list as thats why I contested Wingcar also as I heard from a friend of his that he knows his stuff about chargers reall well so I'm glad to have him onboard the judges table with the other few judges that was pick out. After the contest starts its all up to them and not me on who in the heck wins!

Wish i had time. I won first when i was a kid at a local mall contest. I had a copper 53 ford pu. I took one of my moms old 14k gold chains an used it for the steering wheel and hinges on the tail gate. I haven't did one in years though. Over the last few years did a few diescast - stripped and repainted and decaled some vintage stockers.

well, back on subject, I'm done giving attention.

I used to be fairly good at models, But mainly did planes, old WW2 aircraft. The airbrushing and rust was run. I enjoyed the attention to each rivet. but as I get older, I don't have the confidence in my steadiness of my hands.

and I should be working on my Charger instead of a smaller model.

Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,

just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,

well its okay, as I stated over there that you can cover the flag up for the photo taking of the model, heres a tip, put the flag on the model, place somthing over the flag that will cover it up, but leave like a hair line of the white border of one of the outside edges out in the open with nothing else showing this way the judges will know that it has the flag, also email me or one of the judges with the photo of the flag on the car without it covered up along with you screen name so that I can show the photo to  the judges with out it "going on the board" BUT put the photo with the flag covered up "On the board" for the others to see. This way the judges will see the car in whole and the folks on the board will only see the other photo with the flag covered up.

I also agree with The70RT about the flag, the General should have his flag, with out it hes just another car with #s on his doors. But its you the model car builders to decided which way you want to build the cars, not me! Have fun building them when the contest starts.

That is one reason I don't really visit the Scale Auto board much, the whole pansy politically correct crap.
I quit visiting that board when they started that crap.

hey man, don't blame me for it, I didn't do that stuff or come up with it, I just figure i would let the others know about it in case they built a General Lee model that they couldn't really show the flag on the car [:(] .

BTW how many people that is entering this contest would like to have a TV and Movie Car Cat added?

If you do that, I'll enter my Dirty Mary Crazy Larry Car!

I'm thinking on building the Charger from "death Proof" as well.

that is correct sir, the Race Version shares the spot with Tv and Movie Chargers, the change was a last minute thing. I also just started another thread just for the Charger Build Off also.

People have one week yet for entering the contest, after Apirl 6, 2007 the door will close and the people that entered are the ones that are building then no others will be alowed to join.
