I swiped these (with permission) from the base photo guys. Jets are flying over the base and the city of kunsan...that weird one is as it's banking over a golf course off-base

Chief- you and Sue need to come down the Florida panhandle for some R&R.  I'll give you two a personal tour of AFSOC's newest weapon system on the GWOT; the MC-130W "Combat Wombat".

They are former 1987 and 88 model C-130H2.5's from the states of West Virginia and Idaho, taken to Warner-Robins and completely "gutted", and refitted with all the latest trimmings- including brand spankin new re-inforced center wing boxes!

We have two now, and number three is due to arrive from Warner-Robins next month.  All told, we are expected to have twelve W's at the end of the contract.

They are pretty cool, let me tell ya.

On a different note- I test for Master on Wednesday.  This'll make number three for me.  I need to make it this time, as we could use the $500 monthly payraise (we have #2 on the way due in late September or early October).

Take care and wish I could park my Charger next to you and Sue at the Nats.

Call me up Chief, and I'll be happy to give you the dollar tour of Hurlburt and of the new "W" model Herk.  Our squadron should still be here, though we might have moving boxes filling up with our impending move to Cannon, sometime after October- but don't get me started on that subject!  :flame:

Those first pics remind me of when I was in my boat and a group of 3 A-10 Warthogs came and started doing barrel rolls it was crazy, and they were so close to the ground I could see the pilot. They did it over a 13 miles long lake and were practicing for a show the next day.
