OK now its kinda hard to explain.  I'm going to start my body work on my 69 charger here within the next couple of weeks and i need some info on how to.  Ive got dents that i will be pulling out and panels that i will be putting in.  Now question is most of the car is not in to bad of shape and still has its original paint but what i want to do is fix parts in the body and put the whole thing in primer.  Now ill be putting floor pans in and trunk pans.  Now when i grind to see the spot welds and get the new panel in do i but filler on the new panel and then just primer it.  Something explaining the process or something would be most appreciative.

Thanks

It might be worth your while to check out WWW.69HEMI.com. Very informative!!!

when you spot weld your panel in,i would use a seam sealer, clean and prime first, any marks in the new panel you can fill and prime, although cos its a personal project i personaly would use body soulder as opposed to filler ithink thats what you mean?..jim

Thanks for the kudos Fjmg!  Take a look at the sheet metal section and if you have any questions just drop me an e-mail.

from those pics it looks pretty rusty, Id find place to have it soda blasted, that way you can see the real damage rust did to the car.

Id start gathering all the obvious parts that will need to be replaced and once its soda blasted go from there, replacing sheetmetal as needed.
