How would you like to have this on your patio!

These came from a guy northwest Fort Dodge Iowa. The pictures were taken
from his kitchen onto his patio deck. It was watching his little kids on
the kitchen floor!!   :scared:

I guess taking the kitty's picture made it a little mad?

12-gauge 00-buck or .300 mag will fix that.

Puuurtttyyyyyy kitty!. :icon_smile_big:....We had one that lived on our property in Northern California, ...she had a den in an old mine shaft,  and lived there many years. They usually will not bother you, (unless they are sick (rabies) or you get to close to their babies!) But you should alway's be aware that they may be watching you and the kids. I don't want to freak you out, but it's a fact of life. "WE" are moving and building in "THIER" territory, so you just have to be wary! If you hear at night a sound that screams like a woman, and it's it's not your wife,....heheheh!  :smilielol: It's probably the mountain lion! Great pics! She's a beauty!

What kind of wood was used to make that deck?

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

I didn't know there were mountain lions in Iowa? Nice kitty though :yesnod:

I think that wood on the deck is sun wood.........that cat needs to be relocated or killed, for it has lost its fear of humans, probably a young male who has been driven out of a older dominate male's territory which is very large.........

I got the same e-mail, but it said it was in Martin South Dakota. I doubt mountain lions are in Iowa, but I could be wrong. We have them up here in northwest Nebraska though.

Yes, because running from them won't spark their primal instinct to chase and kill things. :icon_smile_big:

Lived in Iowa basically all my life and never seen a mountain lion...  although I have heard stories.   :yesnod:

Now imagine one bigger than a Rottweiler and faster too boot.  ;)

Needless to say, Mr. Puma would be grubbin' on some flank steak. :D

we have mountain lions as far east as eastern North Dakota now. I didnt see one but i heard them hunting down by Bowman, ND last year. let me tell you trying to track a deer that goes into a thicket that has large cat prints going into it made me think once or twice about going in after it.
