RD HAS A SON!

RD

Sorry havent been on in a while, life has been hectic.  Not like anyone has missed me (except Nacho! thanks for the PM buddy!) hehe

Here are pictures of my son that was born on March 21, 2007 at 4:25 am.  He was 7 lbs, 10.2 oz and 19 1/2" long.  His name is Jonah Michael Bradley Hancock.

Story behind the name (long isn't it?).  Jonah I picked out because it was biblical, Michael my wife picked out because she has always wanted it, Bradley because I had a cousin who died from a car accident and I miss him, and Hancock, well... that is my last name :D

Scary thing happened though... Wife was having complications with medication, Jonah didn't care for it either during the labor process.  An emergency c-section had to happen.  While on the cutting block, anesthesiologist was given wrong pain numbing medication!!!  Wife was given not only the wrong med's, but 20X MORE!!! than what she should have.  It shut down her autonomic nervous system in regards to her breathing.  If she fell asleep, she would not breathe!  We had to keep her awake and poke her (and sometimes yell at her) to breathe every 7-10 seconds.  That lasted from 6 am until 6 pm that evening.

I was horrified when I found out.  I was so angry and so scared (but mostly scared) as to what might have happened if she had respiratory failure and then cardiac failure.  But, all is better now and I went to each of those who were involved with the mishap and let them know that I held no ill will.  Forgiveness is very important.  Everything happens for a reason.

Anyway, momma and son are very healthy and that is all that matters.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

What a cutie......congrats. Sorry to hear about the near horror story. Those stories are too common......I know my wife works in a law firm and they see that all the time. Glad it all worked out.

my two youngest have long names like that and I had fun with the first one of the two...Spelt her first name wrong and the second name different (Antionette Mychelle Allie Pauley, and Dakota-Sarah Trinity Pauley).  My oldest daughter is mad because she doesn't have three names (Mackenzie Ann Pauley).

Congrats on the cute little one, and glad to hear that mom is doing well.

Wow, sounds like way too much drama to deal with during a birth. It's enough the poor girl is having a baby then you add drug complications and breathing problems on top and that's a recipe for dad to start yelling at the medical "professionals" in a hurry. I think I'd try a different hospital next time.

My wife is an animal. :icon_smile_evil: She had both our girls with no drugs.

At any rate, I'm glad it all turned out well. Congratulations!

BTW. I meant to ask you a riddle.
What does a married man with children and a gay man have in common.

Neither can remember the last time they had sex with a woman. :D
