Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Per Rick Keesler "The positive cable is actually a harness of three seperate wires. There is the heavy cable from the battery post to the large post on the starter, a smaller lead from the battery post to the 5/16" post on the starter relay, and another smaller lead from the starter relay to the small pole on the starter, all of which have to be properly positioned then wrapped into the harness."

Thanks!
"buy it now" 75$ is a nice price. Any other tip. Otherwise I think a bid on that cable on ebay.

Unless you want "factory correct looking", you can pick up a cable the correct length at pep boys for under $20.  Otherwise, $80 is much better than $200+ elsewhere!

Didn't originals and some other more correct repros have the black rubber molded "plug/holder" for where the two wires got bolted onto the starter?  Also looks like the one in the pic doesnt have a whole round connector where it attaches to the pos. stud on the starter.  Looks like it was cut in half.

This started in 1969 .... 1968 and older were molded seperate.

IF , it's any good, thats a good buy, I can't buy them for that.

BUT, I do know at least 2 different manufactuers make battery cables,,, I carry the better of the 2. Question is you can't tell them apart until side by side
,( A 3rd is in the works and I'll switch when they happen)

I bought my cables at Advance Auto Parts for $16. I'm not going for the original look or anything
