I can't remember the best workng RPM rates of ECU modules.

Black ( or blue )
Orange
Chromed
Gold
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

Don't know the black one but the orange will keep accurate dwell to 5500.  The chrome up to 6000 and I think the gold is good to like 10,500 isn't it?  Is the black the stock one?  Is that a 5000 rpm dwell?

Plumcrazy

Orange box is good to 6000 rpm
Chrome box is good to 8000 rpm
Gold box is good to 10,000 rpm

It's not a midlife crisis, it's my second adolescence.

I just checked the latest MP catalog and it now shows the gold as good to 12,000.

ok, those rates does mean they are good from idle up to those RPMs or do they have a lower point "best performance" limit like camshafts ?

My understanding is that it means they will keep accurate dwell up to that point.
