i'm planning on doing some major rear end work to my car and this is a list of what i'd like to do, but i'm not too good with figuring out backspaceing issues and all that

72 Charger
MOPAR spring relocation kit
69 8 3/4 Rear (55" flange to flange and 44" spring perch to perch) as apposed to the 72's (57.8" flange to flange and 47.3" perch to perch)
Rim Size: 15 x 10  Bolt Circle: 5-4 1/2  Rear Spacing: 5 1/2
i'd like to run about a 315 tire...

like i say i've done my best trying to figure it out by reading all of the posts on back spacing and such but it's all alittle foggy to me still and since i plan on using a 69 8 3/4 rear instead of a 72 it's sort of throwing me for a loop

any input is greatly appriciated

Ahh, I am doing this exact same swap in my 72'
I bought new wheels and they came in only a 3.5"(Ithink)off set and they stick out and the quarter panel is cutting my tire plus it cracked the filler under the paint .So i am going to swap a 68 8 3/4" in since i will be changing motors in the future anyway.I bought new leaf springs and new axle pads.I hope to do my swap in a few weeks,depending on how things go at home with the kids
