Whats a 69 Charger worth needing front and rear valances and outer grills, needing complete interior minus new consol he has that and needing engine work worth remaining sheetmetal relatively straight  and rust free, clear title, of course it needs paint, wheels etc....
OH yea and no fender togs and no build sheets has a 440 in it now and a spare 440 neither run non ac car.

Guy wants 7000.00 I think its way too hi what do you guy's think?

I play with cars because Jets are way too serious to be fun any more
I have so many car projects that cars are beginning to be no fun any more

If the body is straight, the fenders are good, the glass is in good shape, all the trim is there, and the dash and grill are there then he's in/around the ballpark but a bit high. If you're saying the grill is gone then he's too high. If the dash, pads, and gauges are missing then he's definitely too high. Straight, rust free sheet metal is the largest (initial) expense on these cars. I'd rate a solid rolling shell in the $4500-6000 range. Paying a body shop to repair rust and dents can run in the several thousands of dollars before you even get it into a color. Mechanical parts can be purchased just about anywhere so don't even bother with that (although it would be nice if at least one of the 440s ran). The next hard-to-find/expensive parts are fenders, grills and trim, upper door pads, gauge clusters and trim, dash pads, and taillights. Front and rear valences are reproduced and seem to be mostly accurate. The more complete the car the better of course but buy the best body that you can! Any parts needing chromed will set you back eventually but you don't need to worry about those if the body looks like swiss cheese.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

I bought a 69 Charger(running on a bottle but driveable) with a non matching Magnum 440 and complete car but some metalwork to do for $6500, if that car isent having a nice Vin or Fendertag that sounds more like a $5000 car...
Looking for 383 Magnum #0B196875 and 0B115166

He said no fender tag or build sheet - the VIN sounds fine. Pictures would be nice as rust has this annoying ability to grow when you're trying to clean it up.

Yea I would have to agree with Troy on this. By the description of the car I'd say no more than $6,000. How ever on the other side of the coin I have watched some real ROUGH cars on e-bay go to well over $7500 and up. Plus these were cars that needed at least triple that kind of money to be put in to them to make them right. But if you REALLY have to have the car then go get it. But alwayd try and get the price down a bit..
